Trying new recipes in my Instant Pot

I am trying out new recipes, weekly, using my IP--it's a 6qt. This week--well, last night--I made beef and broccoli in it. Served with brown rice , green salad and apple sauce. I do love beef/broccoli take out and this recipe was really good. Used a tougher cut of meat--not sure what it was--cut into thin strips and cooked them in the sauce recipe for 10 minutes, did a quick release then added the fresh broccoli and cooked for 6 minutes on saute with a lid on it, not under pressure. I tweaked the sauce recipe so there wasn't so much salt too. Cooked the brown rice in my rice cooker. I also cooked up polenta this last week too--OMG--that is so good!!

Sounds great! I love getting things set to cook - and then actually doing it. (the doing is the part I fail at.)

I just recently got one given to me. My friend from work her mother in law purchased a different size and gave to her and she knew I did not have one so gave to me. She has one. So I am not sure what I will try first but I am anxious to give it a try. I know people use them all the time.

No book but what can't you find on line any more for recipes.

@Roscoe the Rascal --I have been cooking in some sort of pressure cooker since I was in 5th grade---remember the old Presto ones with the thing on top that rattled---cooked dinners for my fam when my mom went back to work. But these electric ones are the best ever!! I have the 6 qt and then a 3qt and use them alot but not as often as I want--makes life so much easier---so am trying to find 1 new recipe a week to try---

We always used the old pressure cooker kind until it gave up. Loved it so I am anxious to try this.
