Tried and true lemon bar recipe request

I have made Ina's recipe for the past couple of years and been satisfied. They are good and everyone always loves them. However, this afternoon someone in the office brought in some bars from a bakery and OMG they were AMAZING! I guess I never had another bar to compare but the filling in Ina's is rather thick and gummy. These had a very similar shortbread crust but oh my gosh, the filling was custardy yet creamy. Like day and night by comparison. I want to make them but I doubt the bakery is giving out recipes{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I would welcome some of your recipes and suggestions.
