I get so jealous when everyone talks about Aldi's and all the east coast stores that I dont have out here, that I forgot how thankful I am to have 6 Trader joes within a 10 mile radius ..Perspective.. courtesy of this board...

I'd go hungry without my Trader Joe's!!!!! Fortunately, it's less than a mile from where I live!!!! I'm there once a week. Such a fun place to shop! Oh….and to add to some of the other items already mentioned….the Pound Plus 72% dark chocolate bar!!! Yum!

I'm pretty lucky then. I drive past Aldi's to get to Trader Joe's which is around the corner from Whole Foods. Harris Teeter is nearby as well. Plus Fresh Market.

I love the low-fat cilantro dressing in the refrigerated section at Trader Joe's.

We like TJ's Roasted Red Pepper Tomato soup. It's a buck less than the Pacific brand we'd been getting, and just as good. It's almost impossible to get here in the colder months, though.`

We add a bag (or half bag) of TJ chimmichuri (spelled wrong per my ipad) rice. Maybe a little chicken. I wonder why they would stop selling the soup during the cold months? I hate when they discontinue something or if it's only seasonal. Come on people, we eat mashed potatoes year round!

It's not that they stop selling it--it's impossible to get here at that time of year because it's sold out!{#emotions_dlg.w00t} We've learned to start stocking up in late summer so we're not faced with a gaping hole where that soup should be.

The pain they have cost us, the evils that never happened.

I get these, or the frozen sweet potatoes for my dog, lol. I know it sounds funny, but she eats them as a frozen treat. One time when she was sick, I didn't have anything to give her for upset tummy. Except I had some TJ's frozen mashed potatoes and chicken. Anyway, one time when I was preparing them for her, a frozen nugget plopped on the floor. She grabbed it like a bandit and ran off like a happy little thief. She gobbled it up. Ever since then, she begs for a frozen nugget whenever I go to the freezer, lol. She only gets one a day.

That's actually a great idea - the vet said sweet potatoes for my fiber in my dog's diet, so this would be easy as she loves ice cubes. Will try it tonight.
