I purchased a waffle maker and today I made waffles made with crispy bacon bits I chopped fine, some sauteed chicken breasts, some shredded cheddar cheese, some diced green onions, and some leftover picatta sauce.
The end reuslts were delicious, delicious, and so darn delicious.
Served to friends and they loved them.
We topped them off with warm maple syrup and butter.
For dessert tomorrow I intend to make devils food waffles with sliced strawberries marinated in sugar syriup and topped with whipped cream.
I even bought a waffle book and those recipes look delicious too.
I love cooking, and enjoy eating new foods, so no boring foods in my home.

@GiantsLover: Delicious ideas for waffles! I have a waffle iron but usually make just plain waffles. Although, every once in awhile I'll throw in some blueberries to liven things up. I'll have to do a little more experimenting! ![]()

I discovered Eggo's new Belgian Style Waffles in the Frozen Food aisle, put them in my compact oven on toaster setting, delicious! They have several different flavors, except no pecans! Love pecan waffles!

I have not made any in years but I do love them. I did last month order the below and send to my son and his family. They are big every Monday night WWE fans including my 4 year old granddaughter. All loved using the new waffle maker.

So far I’ve not been able to make the fabulous Belgian waffles that I think are from a yeast based batter...has anyone found a mix that has that super light and crisp
authentic belgian waffle flavor and texture?

I have a nice waffle maker that I've never used, I need to find a good waffle recipe (other than the Bisquick box), LOL!

I think Belgian waffles involve whipping egg whites and folding them into waffle batter not yeast but I could be wrong.
