Good morning:

I had thunder rumbles last night. If there was lightening I didn't notice it. I woke up to check on the critters. Fortunately they all sleep through and aren't afected. If the past we had a Dobie mix---she was terrified. In her last years her hearing diminished and it was a bit easier.

Hi! Good morning. Cold, cold but we do have sunshine. High of middle 40s! Taking down the outside decorations today before the next snow storm.

Tootie15, I hiked half way up the mountain. I made it to Barr Hut many years ago. DH (wasn't DH then, just BF) hiked to the top and came back down to get me. It took us 13 hours to do it. I have also been on the cog railway that goes, it gives a whole different perspective to everything!

kittyfan and cookie15, enjoy your thunderstorms. kittyfan, glad the little guys slept. Our Daisy (English springer) and Misty (cocker) hated storms. Barney, he just snoozes.

walker, how is QM? Everyone stay warm and safe. Kathy

Oh I had a Black and White English Springer. He was a pound rescue. He was only six months and had been terribly abused. Loved him for the 12 years he was with us. He was the BEST!!! Still miss my Mr. P. He loved his kitties. He would throw himself in front of the door is someone had to go to the vet. He would howl untill we got back home.

Hello ... it is raining out and 30 degrees, so everything is freezing over ... not good for driving or walking! ... Kathy, that would be quite the venture and good for you for making it to Barr Hut ... and the railway sounds really cool ... maybe we could do a FF sometime! ... kittyfan, Mr. P sounds like he was quite the dog to have rescued ....

And, now a Good Afternoon friends! This has been a day to stay in...snow, followed by rain, slush and ice as temperatures drop. Guess we passed it over pretty quick to you, Tootie. I have not done much other than laundry and UBs as I try to finish reading a book, Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker...good. I talked with QM and she sounds good which I am happy about. She has had a few "blue" days lately. Today, spirits good...we talked about weather and I told her not to go out skating. She chuckled and said " no, not yet". Be careful if you have to go out or just stay in and be cozy.....take time to relax after holidays. Q........Quiet Day.....Quick cup of tea would be nice.........join me......NEXT..........R

Hi everyone! I'm not having a very good day - I've had an attack of sciatica, and although it's somewhat better, last night I couldn't even walk without excruciating pain and holding on to something. My poor little Jellybean is snuggled up in the crook of my arm; I didn't see him for two days, and usually he's the first to appear when I'm feeding the kitties, so I guess he's feeling punky too. He doesn't seem to have a fever, and hopefully his coming out of hiding and wanting to socialize a little means he's feeling a bit better, but if he's not eating by Monday I'll have to take him to the vet. Prayer for both of us would be appreciated. To top things off, it's another nasty, rainy day. (sigh)
