I did not catch anything on news .....only one mention of "with respect to people involved, we will not be showing an annual grill rolling....no lives lost....all done for this year."

Rest well there....good feeling to have that job done.

Oh pickling up for winter!  

We are expecting cooler weather. I recall a freeze on Halloween. 

Talked to brother s DW yesterday and today.  The older grand now has COVID. Probably the second will also test positive.  They dropped off food and supplies at the door.  I still have difficulty being the fall break.  This is the first year I heard of it.  But they didn't ask my opinion.

walker, so that's who that person was lurking in the bushes and hiding behind trees yesterday while we did the "rolling" ... glad they didn't put the film on and only gave us a mention ... 😄😂

 It's a chilly 30 degrees this morning but we should have a repeat of yesterday ... sunny and 54! ... I heard the weather is supposed to be very rainy for the Trick or Treaters ... maybe it will change though!

kittyfan, talking about Covid reminds me I have not gotten my flu shot yet.  Every time I have stopped in they are busy.  Guess I could make an appointment.  Maybe today...or not...ha.  But, sorry to hear that Covid is still going around DB's family.  I'm surprised DB and his wife have avoided it with all their traveling.

On with the day.....might see you at the store, Tootie. Let's meet in cereal aisle and count all the different ones...Mama Mia....🙄....

I did it .... 💉....got my flu shot.  I had to pick up a prescription and found they were not busy.  So....sign me up...sit...wait...your turn...done!  I always just get the regular shot not the senior one....don't know why but I am usually pretty healthy......why take the whopper when junior will do?  🤣 She asked me about Covid shot...no...not taking anymore....hmmm....ok, RSV? No, not doing it.....maybe to Shingles shot.  The always say ...YES....need it....a friend's husband got shot and still got shingles....go figure.

So, that is off my to-do list.  Now into my closet to switch summer clothes out.  1, 2, 3....GET GOING! 😁

See you tomorrow.  If not, you'll know the shot got me..ha!

No news from Dullsville here either.  I started to comment on the fact that I am glad our trip is over.  We might be driving home from out west.  Guess I'll say no more .....😖.   

DH put grill away yesterday...😟...deck days done for this year..

I am watching the news. Oh my the hurricane damage. I know some affected have so little. 

My house is finally 99 per cent complete. It's been a journey.

We have had high winds the past two days. Temps this morning were definitely jacket needed

Brother called me this morning as I was getting ready to step in the shower. There are three widows she is helping.  He had finally gotten his dental work done and spent the afternoon in the next town.  This lady is in her 60s. Had no idea about utility bills and didn't even know if she was on the banking accounts.  I know there are people like this but when I was widowed at 60ni knew what needed to be done. I often thought if my dad had passed before my mother she wouldn't have know how to proceed.   I have little patience with those ladies in today's 🌎 

I have been transparent with brother and he knows the important documents. I have a trust and amended it to add him to the accounts. My trust was drawn up before my situation changed.   If he needs to handle anything it should be seamless

walker, I guess we can start counting down the days until we can grill again!! 📅😄... 

We're having a rainy and cool 48 degree day ... the kids are both supposed to have their Halloween parades tomorrow but I think the rain (that is predicted for the next several days) is going to put a damper on that ... BG in the morning and LS in the afternoon ... I have to find out from DIL if they are still scheduled and I bet we won't have a lot of kids for Trick or Treating.

Happy Thursday!  One more day....let trick and treat begin...weather should be ok here.  Tootie, sorry your weather may not cooperate.  I always feel bad for the kids if they can't get out.  When my kids were in elementary school, they had the parade inside the school....parents stood in hall and kids walked all around.

kittyfan, how great that house is almost DONE!  I was wondering same thing....what next for it?  And, I agree that women should be aware of  household business.  Sometimes I think I know more than DH...ha!  My SIL said once she didn't know anything about policies, bills, etc.  I sure hope she is up to speed now.  

Tootie, yesterday after DH was done clearing the deck, he said..."maybe I should have left grill out longer"....no, had to happen but we look like snow is coming next week.  HOPE NOT!
