good evening 

May is knocking on the door.  We have weather in the area.  But hopefully nothing serious.

I finally took my device off when the battery ran out.  I was up early and decided to do laundry.  Brother has decided appearing at my stop door is his favorite means of entry.  I do have a dog fence but he steps over. There is a gate but quicker to step over 

He picked up my device to return it. Called me to say he had his days mixed up.  He was heading to meet the contractor. Wrong day.  I reminded him I had sent him a text saying it was Wednesday and his med day.  He said he had his meds and knew it was Wednesday.  He is too busy.   Said he would bring lunch. Came through patio with lunch. Said he had a Drs apt. We talked about banking issues and he was off.  He called me on his way home sayimg a neighbor needed to talk to him.  So neighbor will come to condo.  Of course he picked u.some food for the guest and then stopped to see about a print job for the retirement he is heading. 

My big project was laundry which I did and it away.  I have been enjoying a UB.

kittyfan, glad you are were able to enjoy your UB's ... it sounds like DB needs to slow down some ... maybe introduce him to some UB's 😂 probably wouldn't take them though! 😉

walker, I agree, lunch visits should be short and sweet ... hope you enjoyed yours! ... doesn't it make you wonder why they have to do construction (especially around/at a school) when school is still in session? couldn't they wait until school was out so they wouldn't have to cause a disruption? ... what do I know? ... but glad you got to see your grandkids.

We took a ride to the nursery yesterday ... they had a beautiful selection of hanging pots, so we got ours ... I also wanted some more brown-eyed susans, so I was able to get those too! ... they didn't have a big selection of geraniums so DH wasn't able to get those just yet ... we'll have to go back at some point.

We'll have a cloudy 72 degree day with rain later on ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Things are really growing and rain today will help even more.  Glad you got out for some flowers, Tootie.  I am getting anxious to do that too.

Lunch yesterday was very nice.  I usually stick with having a salad but a sandwich on menu caught my eye....Avocado Egg Salad ....YUM!  I rarely eat sandwiches so a whole one was too much....brought half home...lunch today too...👍.

I agree about the construction work around schools right now.  🤷‍♀️ I did drive past school yesterday and it looked like one entrance, which had been closed,  was reopened...ha...I can imagine the complaints!  

kittyfan, I'm wondering if they sell Energizer Bunnies..ha...DB should have one...that's him!  Maybe a pink bunny for him? 🤣 Glad you got time for a UB!

No plans for today...stay in...be dry...😁...hope you have a nice day rain or shine!

Love avocado.  Yum.

When brother was taking me around on Tuesday we were going the scenic route.  Pointed out a street and said the explosion was down that street.  Very nice area.

There is a tornado warning a bit North of us.   

Okay ladies. Time to get our hats out for the Derby.   Brother and I were talking about sitting on the porch and sipping our mint juleps!    He met contractor today then did a few things. At least he was wearing a proper hat this time. We had that conversation!  Talked to me on his way home.  Hopefully he did go home and took a shower and had a UB. But had issue with his garage door. 

Oh the garden center in the spring. I do love flowers but my green thumb has turned brown!   Brother and his GS planted a small garden. He said his GS was excited to tell him there were three tomatoes!   

My grandmother loved flowers and had a lovely garden in the front.

walker, oooh, that avocado egg salad sounds delicous! ... we already had to take our hanging pots down 😏😂... we had some windy and heavy thunderstorms yesterday!

Ooops! what happened? my computer froze but luckily I didn't loose anything ... hopping off for now 🐇

Happy Friday!  Foggy morning but should pass.  My brain is foggy too until coffee kicks in...🤣.  My weather gal just said we will have "peeks of sun" later.

Derby Day tomorrow...glad you mentioned it, kittyfan.  I'll have to get thinking....it's Spring and I'm into birds so maybe I'll put a birds nest on top of my sun hat...ha! 👒+🪺...😁....second choice 💐+🦋....👍.

Tootie, oh no, the up and down days with baskets already.  
You know I think that avocado egg salad sandwich would be easy to make.  All it had was the usual egg salad with "smashed" (their term) avocado and some green onion.  Might have to try it myself.

Laundry and grocery store today....not much else on my "to do" list.  Oh yes...daily UB!  😂

Good evening

We had a front blow in.  Had to grab my throw. Oh food prices.  Brother popped in last night with a small grocery run.  Talked about prices. He knows what costs.

He oed in this morning heading out of town.  He said he always fills his DWs vehicle. I wasn't surprised. He said she has never done that task!  I talked with her this afternoon.  She had a day of no tasks today!  We can all appreciate those.

Happy Saturday!  Derby Day!  I love your hat, Tootie!  Very pretty!  I opted for flowers and butterflies on mine..but, no pic...sorry.  I need to check on weather there...do we need umbrellas?  Won't dampen our fun....let the mimosas and mint juleps flow!  😁🍹🥂

kiittyfan, DB does it all and takes good care of all!  Filling his wife's car reminded me of years ago...DH always filled cars.  My brother was visiting and went out with me to do errands. OH...I need gas.....pull in to station and looked at my brother...can you show me what to do?  HA!!!  I still remember growing up and having "full service" stations...friendly people pump your gas, clean your windshield...check oil if needed....and that's the way it was...😉. The Good Ol' Days!
