brother called. Said he was u at 7 and doing tasks. Saw touch up painting. Started moving furniture. Ms M the dog went with him at some point. Decided she was bored---o am sure her bed wasn't there and she needed a nap!  So he opened door she trotted home. Then I talked to DW.  Did security update?

Good morning friends ... yikes kittyfan, DB is one big whirlwind of energy!! I laughed at your comment about him not being idle for very long ... I wish I had his energy!! ... it sounds like things are moving along on your house (and why wouldn't they with DB in charge 😊) ... good news on your lab numbers!!

walker, not sure you will find anyone "younger" that wants to put up those wreaths (imo, it seems that some would just rather "let someone else do it") ... glad that you and DH are still able to do that ... I bet it looks really nice!! ... I did get a few indoor decorations out ... I do the same as you, dig through the tote and bring up what I want, the less running up and down (without boxes) the better ... (and no WandaWand .. she must have been on a UB 😏) ... I'm planning on doing most of my decorating on Friday ... your cold weather did move it pretty fast ... I think we're both expecting snow of some kind starting Thanksgiving night 🙁.

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️⛅️🦃...🇺🇸

Happy Wednesday!  Almost turkey time! 😋 Today is prep day here.....fix cranberries and potatoes to go...😁.  I offered to do more since I have more time than DD but, she said she'll do it.....okey dokey!  GD does help her which is nice..."trainee".

I  think I will start decorating Friday too, Tootie.  On your mark...get set....GO...😂.  Who will finish first?  

The wreaths that we put out yesterday do like very nice.  You are right about finding younger people to do it, Tootie.

They are too busy!  Someone suggested "we" (HOA) decorate for Fall season too.  🤔...who?  DH and I decided...not doing it...we'll do wreaths.  So...surprise, surprise....no one stepped up to do it.  

kittyfan, will you be with DB for Thanksgiving?  Maybe DB takes a day off for holiday?  Rest and Eat!

I am so happy I am not doing any traveling on highway today.  I think it is the worst weekend to be on the road.

Tomorrow we will travel all of one mile...👍.

Good afternoon

I know kitchens are busy. I will be joining Brother and his DW for a meal he is preparing. Not sure what he is reading. Told me several different versions. Not sure which way he decides to go!

Brother ut cameras up at my property. Last night I saw what I thought was a coyote. He said he saw deer.  Earlier the garage alarm went off.  A black kitty was cruising.

Oh yes GS learning the ropes on the kitchen. Sweet memories.

Now for my ☕️!  😁  Happy Thursday...THANKFUL Thursday....Thanksgiving!  Family time, Friend time, Food Time.....a day to slow down (except those hosting and cooking 😉).....enjoy your day.  For those alone or with heavy hearts....hope you are comforted with memories of loved ones.  I think of my friend who just lost her husband.  I know she is with her family but grieving as well.  But, you can't help but be thankful for blessings of what you have had or have today.

Only had a few sips of coffee and I'm on a sentimental roll...ha!  So much to be thankful for... including friends here....the best I have never met!  Hugs! 😍

Potatoes and cranberry sauce ready to go.  DD stressing a bit about turkey yesterday.  Why is it that the turkey causes so much stress? 😅 It must be too much information....do this, don't do that, this is best way to cook it, be sure it is "done"...etc, etc.  My mother just opened up her Better Homes and Garden Cookbook and Mr. Turkey was always good!

Goord Evening.

I had a lovely event with brother and his wife.  Brother did Cornish hens, potato salad, pras, sweet potato casserole and dressing.  He did banana pudding for dessert. I was honored to arrive and see the table set with real lates and silverware. It took me a while but I got used to their habits!   He said he and his son were cooking together!   He was missing flour and had to run to store. Was surprised to hear they were open. He said very busy.

He was taking me home with food.  Said we needed to have a portrait made. The last pic was many years ago.  We were celebrating his BD in the conference room. He was sitting next to me and leaning his head on my shoulder!  We have so many special memories over the years.  

I had a bit of a crisis this morning. I turned the TV off last night. Could not find the control.   I actually have two controls.  Looked and looked. Thought perhaps I threw it away. Trash had been picked up.  He found it under the chair.  Fixed my glasses--- lense fell out.  Swrt, did my few dishes. 

the  red checked cookbook was the go to! I am sure your daughter did well..

Heard from FHG. She did a turkey breast for her and the pets. 

I have so much to be thankful for.  I have the best brother. He never complains when I ask him to do for me. He has come to my rescue so many times.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, your dinner menu sounds delicious ... glad you were able to enjoy it with your DB and family!! ... those darn TV controls seem to always get lost ... they can slide/fall into any place 😂 ... DB to the rescue!!

walker, you were on a roll yesterday morning with the letters ... are you sure you're coffee wasn't spiked? 😂😂 but thanks for covering them ... good choices too!! 😉 ... it seems the star of the menu can cause issues but I bet the turkey was good!!

Everything turned out good for us ... Thanksgiving is really not one of my favorite holidays as far as dinner goes ... there's always so much prep work and (good) commotion and then it's over with so quickly ... and then you sit and chat (and look at the cleanup!) ... oh well, at least I still get to sit and enjoy the family ... and the kids were wound up from watching the Macy's Parade ... seeing Santa at the end sent them into overdrive!! ... they are so excited for Santa!! fun times!!

I'm ready walker ... on your mark, get set .... GO!! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ let's get the house decorated!!

Happy Friday!  The day after big feasts all over.  😋

 Tootie and kittyfan, sounds like you both had delicious meals.  Same here!  YUM!  DD did a terrific job.  Her turkey looked so good I took a picture of it.  I think I can retire from Thanksgiving meals....she wins!  Of course, I ate too much!  But, you know it was good when you wake up during the night wanting more! Ha!  SIL did most of the clean-up too....a win-win all around.

kittyfan, nice that you heard from FHG.  Glad she is doing ok.  Wish we could hear from cookie again.

Now the excitement for Christmas builds.  LG and LS will be flying high for a few weeks....but being good as well...haha....I always loved saying "Santa knows if you are naughty or nice so you better be good!"

On we go with decorating, Tootie.  kittyfan's DB has her all decorated so she is ready.  I won't get it all done today but, hopefully, a good start.  Stay tuned.....and good luck there.  Time for the stair climbs! 😂 Maybe I'll burn off some calories from yesterday. 😉

Hello friends ... UB time!! ... I am tired ... I think I did enough exercise (running up and down, up and down) to hold me over til the New Year!! 😂 ... I still have to decorate the tree but that is going to have to wait until tomorrow ... walker, how did you do?? ... glad you had a good dinner ... and now you get to pass the baton to your daughter and after dinner you can "retire to the parlor" 😂

Apparently we are going to get some snow ... at least that's what they are predicting ... some towns around me have already gotten snow and I hear it is pretty bad ... I guess we just have to wait and see what happens.

I just have to go back down to the basement and move some of my totes that I have gone through and then I'm calling it a day ... to be continued ...
