Happy Thursday!  The heat continues.  I better walk early.

kittyfan, hope change in meds will be helpful for you.  It makes you wonder if doctors really know about all of these medicines.  Probably not....so many new ones coming out how can they keep up except for basics.  But, follow doctors orders....they definitely know more than we do, eh?  Enjoy rest of your visit with DB.  He won't let anything slip through the cracks!

Speaking of medicine.....it seems that half (maybe more) of the commercials on TV today are drugs!  😵‍💫 Big money in pharmaceuticals.

Thanks for the quiche, Tootie.  I'll add the mimosas.  😁

Good evening

I am still on the doctor merry go round  primary called to make a referral. Hello I am already patient. 

Brother popped in this morning with my grocery shop.  He was running behind to get to airport  in and out.  He called me when he got home.  He reminded me that I still needed to go to dining room. We talked about this and that. He sounded energized. He had a busy trip dealing with my stuff and some other things at church etc. 

Back toPT today. Doggies think she comes to see them. 

Tomorrow is dominos. Unfortunately Chatty Cathy will be there.  Ear plugs would be nice.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, had to laugh about your doctor giving you a referral to someone you are already going too! 😄 ... have you been eating your meals in the dining room or bringing back to your room? ... walker, more warm weather for us too! ... it's hard to believe that it can go up to 82 when the morning temps are so cool (at least for us ... it's only 56 degrees right now!) ... I agree ... lots and lots of commercials for drugs!! too bad we didn't think of some of those ... $$$

We got rid of our potted plants (today is garbage day!) ... they had seen better days! ... and we put out my pumpkins and scarecrow in the front garden ... I'm a couple days early as I usually wait until the first day of Fall ...

Tootie, good for you to get some seasonal things out.  The only thing I have out is the Fall wreath on front door. I haven't even been out to get a few mum plants yet.  The older I get the more I say mañana!  😆

I am home from dominos. Unfortunately Chatty Cathy lived up o her name.   Wowser. 

Had a long chat with brother this morning. He had sent me a text at 1 am. 

He took a hop and skip getting home. I guess that is cheaper than direct. His son picked him up and they it a nibble before school pick up.  His GS loved the book that was recommended by my TS buddy.  She was a retired teacher of the littles. She hit he target.

walker, I've whittled my outdoor decorating way down ... I'm not getting any mums this year ... my geraniums on the porch are still doing really good ... so good in fact, that the darn squirrel keeps digging in them!! 🙁 leaving dirt all over the porch 😠.

We'll have another 80 degree day but rain is expected later this afternoon ... we're going for breakfast this morning then heading to apple picking with the kids!! ... should be a fun day!!

Happy Saturday!  Last day of summer...hot one too!🥵

GD has a soccer game this afternoon but not sure if we will go....close to 90!  We'll see.  If so, I take an umbrella for shade.  Poor kids running in the heat....but they are young!

Tootie, have fun today 🍎..nice tradition to have with kids.  We started doing it with the 3A's when they were about 3 and they still like doing it....at 15!  We'll do it in October.

When I logged on this morning, I thought....remember to tell Tootie about the squirrels...and you wrote about squirrels getting into your geranium plants. Here too!

They have been digging in a favorite pot of DH's on deck. Yesterday I saw one on my front porch with nut in his mouth looking at my hanging baskets! 🙀 DH and I have decided the ground is so hard from lack of rain that squirrels have found it easier to dig in pots! 😠 I told DH maybe he should just put a big pot of dirt out for them.  Then they would leave flower pots alone....sure, sure.

I may not get mums this year either..or fewer...too expensive and my porch baskets are still doing good.

kittyfan, too bad Chatty Cathy has to spoil a nice time at dominoes by all her talking.  You may as well wear some ear phones and listen to music!  Good that you went though.  I hope Covid has gotten better at SO.

All for now......guess I will look at paper, have breakfast and take an early walk.  Hope you all have a nice day!

Hi there....end of day and thought I would check back in....it was a hot day so we passed on GD's soccer game.  DD said it was hot and girls had hard time finishing at end...and lost. 😟 The season is just starting so we have more games ahead.  We might go to one tomorrow morning if it isn't raining.

DH and I decided to celebrate end of summer with steaks on the grill.  We don't eat beef much anymore so it was a treat.  I like beef but not like I used to....now I prefer chicken or fish...or a good salad but that doesn't work for DH.  

So....that's it....hope your day has been nice....lots of apples to eat and bake with Tootie?

Good morning friends ... it's the start of a new season!! time is marching on ...

walker, enjoy your GD's game if you can go ... that's some hot weather for the kids to play in and to sit in to watch! ... it should be cooler this morning for you!! we're having a lot of fog this morning.

We had a great time picking apples ... it was the opening weekend, so we had a great selection and tons to pick from!! LG/LS had so much fun too!! their excitement of "oh look there's a big one" was endless!! LG had it all planned out as to who was going in what "row" to pick them ... DS/DIL/LS go in the left row, me/DD/SO go in the right row and him/DH go in the middle 😂 ... and only one meltdown ... LS wanted to keep biting the apples as she picked them!!

It sounds like you had a yummy "end of summer" dinner ... I think you have a great idea about putting a pot of dirt for the squirrels but I bet you're right ... would they even use it??!!
