Glad that LS had a happy birthday yesterday, Tootie, Princess cake and all....age 3...those years really went ZIP!

kittyfan, hope the Director at SO gets a message...maybe from DB (ha)....change some things....good luck.

DS in FL was doing ok yesterday with just rain.  A friend that lives in southern FL sent me a message about her area with lots of rain too.  Funniest thing was that they were in process of re-roofing homes in their complex.  A porta-potty had been brought in for workers.  They had to come out and tie the porta-potty to a tree! 😂 Also thinking about our former neighbors who just left last week moving to South Carolina....right in area of storm! 😳🤞 Good luck to them....what a welcome.

Doctor check-up today.....oh joy....should be ok but my blood pressure is always high when I go there.....so need to try and relax about it.....has been ok at home.  

Well, DH is quite chatty this morning.....distracting me here.....😕....so, better sign off for now.

Hello friends ... walker, I hope you had a good visit with your doctor ... my BP is always high at the doctors too, but when she/he takes it afterwards it's back to normal ... maybe these doctors should take it when our visit is over 😄... laughing at the porta-potty being tied to a tree ... can you only imagine if it got picked up by the winds??! ...😬😲 ... laughed at your chatty DH this morning 😉😊 ...

We had some pretty bad storms here today ... a tornado hit our downtown area, about 1/2 hour from me ... DIL was at work and got a video of debris (which she later found out was pieces of roof) flying through the air!! ... our area ended up with some heavy, heavy rain and we had a lot of streets that flooded ...

Tootie, glad you are ok there after bad storms/tornado in area. It has been a stormy summer. 

DH and I just got back from DD's....now OFF DUTY!  Family arrives home early tomorrow.  Ten days is enough back and forth ....pool, garden, mail, etc.  They have had a wonderful trip so I am glad for them....they needed it.

My doctor visit went well ....but, yes, my BP was up when I checked in.  No surprise.  I had checked it at home in morning and I was normal.  I had to laugh....nurse checks me in and had to ask a few Medicare questions.....repeat three words....then I have to draw a time in blank piece of paper....round like clock.  I said..."THEN you check my BP?"  LOL!  Oh well....I nailed the words....but clock was a bit of challenge.....how often do we look at a clock anymore?  We look at digital time on phone, computer, etc.  So, I had to draw 11:10 on clock....then fill in all the numbers in right order.  😵‍💫 I passed!  Remember telling time the old fashioned way??!  Ha!  Never forget the basics! Good visit with doctor...she rechecked BP after we talked and it was better.  It must happen to a lot of people.

Good morning friends ... walker, glad everything went well at your appointment ... especially your drawing of the clock 😉😂 ... I still have a couple of the "old fashioned" clocks and I was just thinking of this the other day ... how do kids (like LG/LS and maybe your grandkids) ever learn how to tell time on a clock?? and how will they learn to tie sneakers? they all seem to be velcro or slip ons ...

We had a power failure overnight ... came down to flashing lights on the stove and microwave ... if we had a storm, I never heard it ... more rain this morning and then it is supposed to clear up and the humidity is going to drop 🤞.

We just had a storm go through earlier....coming your way, Tootie.  But, good news, it is cooling off and rest of week looks picture-perfect!  👏

We have a couple of the old-fashioned clocks too, Tootie.  You are right about kids today telling time, shoes, etc.  🤷‍♀️ One of our clocks even has Roman Numerals on it..😳....forget that with kids.  I'll take the simple life but life brings change for sure!  Go with the flow!

Quiet here.....hope our friends cookie and kittyfan are doing ok.....cookie wasn't feeling well....🥴....check in if you can.

No news to report.....just happy nothing is on calendar for today....no where I have to go....👍. DD sent message they are home...flew overnight from Hawaii...🌴..hooray!   Catch-up Tuesday for me.....laundry, etc.  Happy Tuesday to all!

What a difference a day makes.....from hot and humid to chilly and damp...Fallish!  I had shorts on but changed to long pants.  And, once again, I moved my baskets from backyard to front porch...ha!

Good morning friends ... for sure walker! our weather changed like that too!! ... it rained most of the day yesterday but it was a light rain and I was able to keep windows opened until the temps dropped (to 66!!) and I actually had to lower them!! ... fall weather is right!! ... (I had to remind myself of all the hot and humid temps we had just had 😉) ... we didn't have to take our plants down (no winds 🤷‍♀️) but they are waterlogged!!

No new news from me ... hopefully we'll be able to get outside today but the grass may be a bit soggy ...

Have fun with LG and LS today, Tootie.  Will LG be going to PreK at new location?  LS would miss him...or maybe not...haha.

Dental appointment today....fun, fun.  Hope I don't get any surprises. 🤞

I have had to juggle it three times this morning.

Oh the princess party. What fun. Walker you are off pool duty!   But you get your steps moving plants around. Tootie is busy with litles.

I am tired of political stuff

Holly is out on he patio.  She can keep an eye on the courtyard. I had told brother I needed a rug for them. He brought a nice big rug for them. He is out of town. But called me last two mornings to check on me. Doi need anything--- no you have provided well.  Last Drs visit I had packed on some lbs. Reminded me he is tracking this and is reminding me when we talk!  It was an adjustment to be totally transparent  totally with him. But he needs to know. Has taken care of others so no surprises. I laugh when I see him slip something into Amazon. He will also slip in other hings occasionally

Hello friends ... it ended up being another hot and humid day ... had to close windows and get the A/C going ... we were able to get outside for a little while but the kids wanted to come back inside ...

kittyfan, glad CE wasn't necessary but sorry to hear that you were having internet issues ... hopefully, they're all fixed!! ... laughing at DB reminding you about the weight issue ... he'll get you down to model size 😉😄 ... I am so tired of politics too!! I can't stand the mud slinging and name calling.

walker, hope your dentist visit went well ... yes, LG will be going to one of the schools in the district ... the daycare offers PreK but you have to pay ... the school district is free (actually paid through our taxes though) DS's job hours are very flexible so he should be able to drop/pick him up ...

Watch out cookie!! CE might be on the prowl ... 😂😂😂
