Happy Tuesday!  I'll try to keep the days straight. Wishing a happier day for cookie....we miss you❣️ 

I missed the men's gymnastics last night...darn. I did just see a news clip of the USA guy getting medal for pommel horse event.  Wow!  Way to go!  Tonight the women again....GO USA! 🇺🇸  Hope Simone's ankle is ok.

Pool duty was a challenge yesterday with rain.  Finally thought we had a weather break so I opened it only to return an hour later and close it....😠.  Today looks like no rain..alleluia....open in morning and leave it all day.  Good thing she only lives a mile away.  They do use it a lot when home but sure requires extra maintenance too.  I'm also watching DD's vegetable garden....bonus is I am getting some fresh veggies.  At least I haven't had to worry about keeping it watered with all the rain we have had...👍.

Went for blood test and was lucky....in and out.  Then results came back already!  Doctor reviewed and said all looked great except my cholesterol...always a problem 🥴.

She said we will discuss at my appointment next week.  I know she'll suggest meds which I don't want to do.  We'll see....I need to look back at my records and see how it has tracked.

kittyfan, it sounds like J & H are becoming mascots of SO.

Tootie, had to chuckle about your DD not taking all of her things.  When I ask my DD about taking anything the response is....no, I don't want anymore stuff! Ha!

Haircut and store this morning....so, guess I'll have another cup of coffee and git-er-going.....😁.  Have a nice day everyone!

HOT!  HUMID! Done with errands and outside chores!

Thinking of you, Tootie, as, once again, I moved my hanging baskets!  While we were away I moved them to the backyard where there is more shade and cooler.  Came home and they really looked good.  So....hung up again on front porch...mistake for this week...too warm up front!  So, out back they go again.   Maybe I should keep them there....definitely this hot week anyway.

My birds are keeping me busy too....have never had so many birds....hungry birds too!  Might have to start buying seed by the case!

Realized gymnastics is on live now so catching it.  Maybe repeat tonight.  GO USA! 🇺🇸

Good evening

Watching lots of Olympics. I was in dining room waiting for lunch when concierge comes with my meds. Another resident thought it was there and opened it. It comes in an insulated box. Label clearly has my name. It's shipped because it is a special $$3 med which comes from a specialty pharmacy across the state. Although no harm done I want to say be sure a pkg is yours!    Ups had sent me emails daily and pharmacy had scheduled delivery.   Oh one of the joys of this community.

kittyfan, ugh, while, like you said, no harm done with the opened package, but people need to read labels before diving into a package ... especially in a place where packages are dropped off in one location ... it sounds like Jake was ready for bed!!

walker, I keep forgetting that we can get results from lab work so fast ... good news on yours ... I think that darn cholesterol issue haunts a lot of people ... laughing at the plants going up and down, back and forth (not really) ... we've been playing that game too ... it sounds like your plants like it better out back ...

I watched the Olympics last night and YAY!! Team USA Gymnastics!! ... they all did a great job and Simone pulled it home for them!! even with her injury!!

Another hot and humid day with rain this morning ... ugh!! only makes the humidity worse ... 🤞 we can get outside later on.

It's Wilting Wednesday....from heat and humidity!  Trying to carry-on from cookie until she returns...miss you here.

Last day of July!  Days, months of 2024 flying!  

I am very happy for the USA gymnastics girls team especially since, I think, it is Simone Biles last.  I am amazed at their routines.  Simone is married to a Chicago Bears football player.  Maybe I'll see her here this season...we'll do lunch with my GD....🤣.

kittyfan, I understand your irritation with opened package.  It should be delivered into the hands of someone who sees it goes to the right person.  Meds in wrong hands? Yikes!

Occasionally we get wrong mail.  This reminds me to check before opening.

Tootie, have a good day with kids.  How is LG doing without naps?  Funny how you take naps when young....then again when you are old...ha...or, as we call them....Union Breaks!

Thanks for taking extra letters, Tootie.....U and V, like Q, are hard ones...😆.

I just watched the replay of Katie L.swim. I was exhausted seeing how many trips they made.

Brother and I have been dealing with a sticky situation with my house.  He loves a challenge and this has been one. 

I read an article on the women's gymnastics outfits. Reported to be about 3k each. With multiple outfits that is a bunch 

I watched beach volleyball and thought how could they be comfortable. 

This year is zipping by.

kittyfan, I thought the same thing when I was watching Katie swim ... that was quite a long swim! and I totally agree about the outfits with volleyball ... 😲 they really can't be comfortable ... I did see some girls in the longer pants and thought "wow, they changed their outfits" but it must be up to the girls on what they wear ... I hope that your DB can get things taken care of with your house.

walker, I bet your GD would love to meet up with Simone Biles ... LG is still hit or miss with his naps ... at daycare they still take one (whether he sleeps, I don't know) but yesterday he asked to take a nap and slept for 1 1/2 hours (he's like my DS, was always a good sleeper) ... he's got about a month before he starts PreK so I hope he adjusts to not getting one 🤞 (he's really go no choice 😂) unless they do a "rest time" there 🤷‍♀️

Can you believe that LS is going to be 3 on Sunday??!! (where did those years go?) ... DIL has to work this weekend so we'll we'll celebrate the next weekend ...

Another hot and steamy 83 degree day ... the kids didn't even want to go outside to play yesterday ... LG went out in the yard, came back in and said "it's too hot out!" ... so we played cars for a while 🚗🚓🛺🚒🚛 beep, beep

Happy Toasty Thursday! 🥵 More heat and humidity...some rain today too.  Cute greeting, Tootie...hello August!

I cannot believe LS is going to be 3.  Maybe 2 ...not 3...yikes.....then LG off to PreK ....seems like he was just born too.  Cute ages though.....enjoy! Had to chuckle about LG thinking it was too hot outside...smart guy....inside he goes!  My 3A's used to LOVE cars...between the three of them they must have had every car and truck!  Fun years.

kittyfan, I did not know that about the gymnastic outfits....$3K....WOW!  Can't say I am very surprised though.  💰💰 I missed the swim competition yesterday...darn....happy for Katey L!🏅

Hope you get your house situation taken care of, kittyfan.  I know that has been a problem for awhile.
