Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🌤️🇺🇸

What a night here!  ⛈️⚡️⛈️💨⚡️🌪️ Storms were bad but, thankfully, we did not lose power.  There were tornado watches (conditions favorable) and warnings (tornadoes spotted).....all across the Chicago area.  I have not seen all the news yet for damages.  I guess it was really bad just south of us and near O'Hare Airport.  Finally got the all clear after 10pm and went to bed.  Sunny this morning...week ahead looking good.

One of my 3 A's likes weather as grandpa does....he would text me with updates during storm....cute guy.

Love the Z and A cookie and Tootie.

Not much else now ..... need to check my "to do" list for departure later this week.  

  kittyfan, probably  good you don't have a hummingbird feeder.  Those little birds are high-maintenance!  I have to change the nectar at least twice a week.  I make my own so boil water, mix sugar, let cool, etc.

walker, Wow!  Tornado storms!  Glad you didn't lose power.  Scary to even think about Tornados with or without power!  Funny and cute about one of the three A's texting updates of the weather conditions to your DH😄

No news here - just another DVS.  Got a very nice💕  phone call from my ex yesterday and it made my day!❣  More paperwork for him today. These must be very important - the return envelope enclosed in the docs is pink!🤣 Why would a company used pre printed pink return envelopes???

Good morning friends ... cookie, it's so nice that you have such a great relationship with your ex and you help him out! ... my guess on the pink envelopes is, once it gets to where they are addressed, whoever gets the mail knows what department/person it goes to?? ... thanks for asking cookie, I am fine, this was just a routine test (every 2 years)

walker, how cute that one of the A's kept you updated on the storm ... you're probably in the home stretch now for your packing and getting ready for your trip ... I hope you have some good weather while you're gone, although I think you will be by water? so it might be cooler!

We'll have another hot, humid, windy and rainy day (sorry, I know I sound like a broken record) ... supposedly this is the last day for it and starting tomorrow cooler weather will move in ... low 70's!! 🤞😁 ... we have the kids tomorrow so we should be able to get outside ... cool(er) weather and kids outside = win/win!!

Grocery shopping sticker shock this morning and then home before it gets too humid ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Wednesday!  Pass the date-nut bread and cookies....both go well with coffee! 😋👍

Finally getting a break in the hot, humid weather here.  Although it is still a little humid, I could not turn the A/C off fast enough and open windows!  I am hoping for two days with things open.  Then I will close up again and leave A/C on while we are away.

So far weather for our trip is looking good.  We will be on the water....first, river, by "thumb" of Michigan.  Then we go to upper peninsula and on water between upper and lower peninsulas.  I should be able to keep in touch from hotels but in evening instead of morning...leaving early 🥱Friday morning....on Desi time...🤣...🚗...zoooom.

I have started packing...never easy for me....should be simple but never is...maybe I'll take this....no, maybe this...oh, I need different shoes....etc, etc..ha! 

cookie, you have a one-in-a-million success story with your ex.  How every nice for both of you.  Not so when my brother-in-law and his ex (still our friend)..were here for our anniversary in May.....a bit chilly! 😆

Tootie, good luck with the "sticker-shock" grocery trip...so true!  💸💸💸  Hope you have that "winning" day with kids tomorrow! 😁

Good morning

I am back doing PT. Yesterday afternoon had a session. I picked up dinner. Nodded off in my chair.  Door opens. brother arrives with a lovely salad. It will be lunch today. Brother had a long day his son took him to the airport at 6 30. On to Chicago waving to Walker. Then to Memphis. Then finally here. He schedules cheap flights coming. Going home is direct.  

He was exhausted. Worked very hard helping the couple with the hurricane damage. His trip here was to take me to a dts apt I had to reschedule twice. He will also do labs when we are at clinic. He will take Ms Holly to get her stitches out. I will also need to do my monthly labs for a different doctor. Will be a short turn around. Will do a grocery run stocking me up. 

He will also take care of church duties. Busy busy.

Holly is on the patio sunning. Jake in bed under blankets. 

Cookie: you certainly have a special relationship very sweet to see.

Walker. Oh packingis the worst. Decisions.

Hello friends ... kittyfan ... you and DB are busy, busy, busy ... I hope that your PT will help you out ... oh, the leisure life of your pups!!

walker, I'm with you, windows opened for fresh air ... it's a little still out but I would much rather have outside air than the A/C ... I tend to overpack too (so easy to do when you are driving) and laughed at you leaving Friday on "Dezi time" 😂

Funny story ... Spying Sammy Squirrel was snooping around on our patio this morning and would not leave!! I looked out the patio door and he was "standing" on one of our chairs (feet on the seat and front paws up on the arm) trying to look into the house! I clapped my hands to scare him off but he just stared at me. DH came to the screen and opened and shut it real quick and the squirrel ran to the other end of the patio, sat and stared at us. As I watched from another window, he came crawling back and was trying to get onto our stairs that lead to the house ... yikes!! I had visions of him scratching through the screen and getting in. DH came around from the garage, with a broom 😂, and chased the squirrel to the back of the yard, where he (the squirrel, not DH 😁) ran up the telephone pole never to be seen again ... just yet!!

Oh, Tootie, funny story indeed about the squirrel! 🦫 Well, funny because it wasn't at my house!  That was one determined squirrel to make your place-his place!  Glad your DH could chase him off.  Hope he doesn't return but, as we know, they don't give up.  😖 Annoying buggers!  Look up....he might be on the phone wires with binoculars looking in at you....🤣.

kittyfan, glad your DB is around to help out.  Funny how he takes the long way around to get to your place.  But, one way is enough!  

I had a nice lunch with friends.  We went to a place we had not been to in awhile.  The restaurant added a new covered outdoor seating area.  It was really nice and food good.  Nice afternoon!

walker, I'll bet you are grateful that Sammy Squirrel skipped your house! Laughing at the image of him sitting on the phone wires with binoculars😂  Glad you enjoyed a nice lunch with your friends.  Sounds like a pretty place to have lunch.

kittyfan, you and your DB are sure busy again.  Nice to have a good lunch with him.  He is so good with Holly and Jake too,  Hope things are better at SO.  

No news here - another day of fiing and compiling.  Ex sent me the papers I needed and one of the sweetest letters which sure made my day💘.  Needless to say, I finished that project in no time!
