Hello friends ... ugh! cookie and kittyfan, you have been dealing with hot, hot temps and now walker is too!! ... I'll try my hardest to send some of my 66 rainy degree weather ... (sorry to say this) it is damp and cold here ... no going outside with the kids today ...

walker, I think the birds "bath water" would have turned into a sauna for them ... this weather is sure crazy ... hope you were able to stay cool.

kittyfan, we're thinking of you!

walker, you  brought back a memory- My ex loved and still does Klondike Bars.  The kids would always get him a full case every year for his B'day or Christmas.  He had to find his gift in the garage freezer.  I liked them a little melted! 

Tootie, smiling about your birdbath turning into a sauna😃 Lucky you and some cooler weather. Too bad it was too damp to go out with the kids.  We have had 45 straight days with triple digits!  Our weatherman counts everything😂 More triple digits today😡

Good morning friends ... I don't like how it is darker in the morning now and gets dark at 8pm!!!! A sure sign that Fall is on the way .... 😏 ... we'll have a 77 degree with a "chance" of rain this afternoon ...

Happy Thursday!  Another steamy day outside!!  We were near 100 yesterday....just no air....heavy and humid!  cookie....45 days of triple digits....awful!  Thank heavens we will get back to normal temperatures tomorrow.  No walk again today.

Tootie, agree with you on Fall approaching...very noticeable with daylight changes in morning and evening.

I hope this heat does not come your way.  Maybe it has just settled over mid-west.

No news....have to get trash gathered to get out....saw notice that trucks will be out earlier due to heat.

We had a miserable rainy, humid day yesterday and more of the same today ... high of 79! ... we even had a thunder and lightning storm late last night and it poured!!

Good morning !!!

I'm back!!  No internet since the 24th pm.  I unpluged the router and modem for 15 mins and VOILA!  Internet again.😊  

Wow, walker you had some high temps!  No air is misery.  Heavy humidity is awful too.  Hope it goes away and you can walk in some great weather.  Hope it doesn't pass to Tootie!  Horrible stuff combined with heat.  UGH😫

Thanks for the cool vibes Tootie💗 Things were a little cooler by a few degrees.  I don't like getting dark earlier in the morning and darker later.  Nothing we can do about it.  I used to love the getting dark later when I was a kid - more play time outside!  

kittyfan, hope you are faring well in all this awful heat/humidty, etc.  Any news from the Cafe?  Stay safe and cool. 

Another day another catch up - laundry that did not get done the other day.  I will be doing some easy exercises for old people since I won't walk outside and can only go so far inside.  I need to keep moving.  Being old is a joke - on old people😄😒  I will survive - SCC Strong!💪

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🌤️.....🐝s

Happy Friday!  Finally a break from the heat here!  I know...who am I to complain!!!  cookie and kittyfan have been living with it for weeks!  Ugh!  Still humid today but high 80's.  Weekend is looking real nice!  

Woke up to big surprise this morning....not happy one either....BEES!!!  Walked into upstairs hallway and found about six around a night light....😳....some dead...seemed to be weak....easy to grab and flush.  Then when I turned on the overhead light there were more around it...Mama Mia!  Where are they coming from...yikes!!  We have never had that problem before....flies and mosquitos occasionally but not bees.  (update...DH thinks they are coming in through vent in guest bathroom..😵‍💫)

Tootie you asked about guys in high school.  I have not heard much since school started.   I play a word game online with two of the 3A's.  I can tell when they are online and we can send messages back and forth. ❓❓Gremlins!! 

So, earlier this week I saw one online when I knew he should be in school.   I sent a message thinking he was home and maybe sick.  He wrote back and said...all ok, in school study hall....if we don't have school work to do, we can use our cell phones!  Two days ago during the bad heat, one sent me a message that A/C was not working in his first class.  It has been fun chatting with them that way but I doubt it will continue.  They will get busier...we'll see.

Well, I hear DH upstairs smacking bees and toilet is flushing.....stay tuned for bee report.  It has been Dullsville here too until this morning...ha!

Oh no walker! BEES in your house?!! yikes!! I bet they made a nest near or in that vent ... I'm sure your DH will take care it ... BEE careful ...

It sounds like your grandsons are doing ok in school ... times sure have changed ... cell phone use in study hall ... a nice way to stay in contact though ...

🐝 Update......DH has been on the Bee Duty all morning....fortunately not a big problem...very odd though as we have never had it happen before in the 29 years we have lived here.  Since DH thinks bathroom vent is problem (and he found a bunch inside), he went to his favorite "Home" store....think orange....haha.  Anyway, talked to a guy who recommended something like a trap....kind of like ant traps work....this one is cone shaped.  He put it inside the vent so we'll see....🤞🤞.

He could not see any from outside.  Strange....maybe that excessive heat and humidity we had for two days sent the bees looking for cooler air inside.  

OK....I'm ready for Fall...cooler temperatures and fewer bugs!!!
