Happy Sunday!  Nice outside now but guess we might have some rain off and on....hopefully, more off than on...haha.

cookie and kittyfan, are you near Mingus (?)...think that is right....near Austin?  Just turned on my news show and they did a segment from there about a restaurant that helps the disabled....called Bienvenito...Bien something ...Italian.  Anyway, made me think of The Cafe, kittyfan.

Tootie, wish I could join you on a bike ride.  It sounds so nice.  Yes, take advantage of all the good weather days that come your way!!  Me too...after Fall comes....ummm...ugh...Hibernation!  

Your H is quite a coincidence, Tootie!!!  I am fixing Ham and Eggs for breakfast!  Last night I fixed a ham dinner.  So, this morning I am going to dice some ham and add to scrambled eggs!  Better get "cracking"...😂.

Hi all....quiet Sunday here....how about you?  Then storms rolled in late afternoon but nothing bad and our power went out for 1 1/2 hours! 😬 I had dinner started...stovetop...and thanks to gas stove...we had dinner!!  Before that we sat on our front porch which is covered and watched rain...not bad.

Back in business now!!  We sure take for granted convenience of electricity!!

Good morning Moanday ~

walker♛, I have never heard of Mingus TX  Of course our kittyfan would be the one to know.  I wonder if it is how it is pronounced - folks here pronounce things differently than I was/am used to.  I am slowly getting used  to the "new" to me pronounciation.  Some is very charming😊  Wow  you had some rain!  We also have covered porches and have enjoyed a meal or two while watching the rain.  Yes, we sure do take electricity for granted!  What would we do without it??  DD was watching the Travel Channel yesterday evening and they were at Mackinac Island and went inside the Grand Hotel and the whole front porch.  I noticed that the porch was empty - waiting for Royalty?♛.  I did not see it, just heard it from the kitchen😕  

Tootie, you are so lucky to have such a nice bike ride trail.  A few people ride bikes around here and lucky for us the speed limit is posted at 25mph!  These country roads..... Many animals could be roaming around.Enjoy your great weather!  

kittyfan, how is the Cafe?  Isn't it called The Comfort Cafe?  I saw something on FB ( I hardly ever go on FB, but get notifications)  while skimming through my notifications and it mentioned helping others, etc.  Sounded familiar. Hope they are doing well.

Good morning friends ... cookie, yes we are very fortunate that the bike trail is so nice and very convenient for us ... we can get on it right around the corner ... we have to ride in the street for about 2 blocks to get to it ... I much rather ride on a trail than in the street, too many crazy drivers out there ...

walker, oh no, the dreaded power outage ... if there's one good thing during an outage, it's the gas stove! saved us plenty of times too!! ... I remember our October storm we had years ago ... we were without power for a week ... used up a lot of things from my freezer and was able to cook on the stove ... the weather wasn't winter cold yet so we were able to stay in the house ... glad you got to enjoy the rain from your porch.

kittyfan, does the TS start to get real busy this for the back-to-school shoppers?? ...

We'll have a very warm 89 degree day with a chance of rain ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Monday....Moanday Monday!  Another humid day and more storms in area.  Rest of week is suppose to be much nicer.  Last few days of August!!  😧

I will have to look up that TX town again...maybe I had that name wrong but thought it was Mingus or Migus...🤔...very small so maybe it is unknown....thought I heard near Austin....🤔 ....I should pay better attention.  

Nothing new here....Monday chores waiting for me.  Have a good day everyone!

Oh, good, Tootie, thanks for letting me know.  The gal doing the interview (regular on Fox so may be known already)....but, if not, she has 9 children and her youngest has Downs Syndrome....really cute.  I have a friend who has a Downs son....now 44....great guy...so I am always interested in programs for developmentally disabled.

We are having a thunderstorm now....hope we don't lose power again.  🤞  See you later.
