Oh my gosh....cookie and kittyfan, the heat in TX is awful!

YES, stay COOL as best possible....in and out of A/C!  You have not had a break from it!  Today it was gray and bit rainy here plus HUMID...ugh!  When it was clear, I took a walk...wilted in humidity.  At least you don't have the humidity, right?

Walk out early from TS, kittyfan, and go to Cafe.  You deserve it.

Nothing else...uneventful day here...see you in the morning.   Any more bike rides there, Tootie?

walker, the humidity wasn't too bad here today and we didn't get the rain they predicted ... we've been lucky enough to go for a bike ride every night ... we wait until 7ish or so (when it cools down somewhat and the humidity isn't too bad) ... halfway through the ride we stop in the park and sit on a bench under a tree ... there is usually a nice cool breeze ... a great spot to people watch 😏😂

Good morning ~

UGH!  This hot uncomfortable weather is everywhere!  We will hit 105 or more today.  Some humidity but not too bad. More canine carpets today.   Rubber stamp time:  No news here😄  Scooby went to the vet to be neutered and showed no affects.  Same old sweet loving dog.  Changing the sheets this morning - with 😼😾help.  Clean sheets feel so good!   

Tootie, your bike ride sounds so pleasant and sitting under a tree and people watching is fun.  Glad your weather is cooperating.  Popsicles - haven't had one for years.  Do you remember the orange ones with vanilla ice cream inside - forgot the name but I loved them.

walker, sorry about your humidity - it is so unpleasant and I don't like changing my hairstyle when I go outside😃 Oh well, that's what AC's are for - staying inside and enjoying the cool temps.

I love a good miga. Yes an egg dish mugavotite re. Hstaurant does the best. Hsvrnt been there is akng tim e. Impossible to get there. Parking downtown isn't friendly.

Wish I could slip out early. But since I am the "coorfinstor: for our group I can't. My partner is a take charge which is OK with me. I have certain duties one of which is dropping deposit at bank and doing final report. I make sure everything in kitchen is clean and everything in back in order. I did enjoy seeing peoples purchases but the back has to be covered as well.

I didn't. Sleep well again. So I am dragging. Dogs were restless. When I got home Jake was lovey.

Cookie: my experience is spay/neuters just enhance them. No need to roam!!! But I know you have had lots of critters over the years also.

TS is comfortable but in this heat hard to keep cool. Door constantly opening etc. It is a well insulated metal building but hard to keep regulated. We have three units but when it is triple digits!!

Need ro get moving I need to be on time!!! We gather and start with a prayer. Assignments are handed out and they open the doors. Saturday it is normally slow until about 11. People sleeping boys about ten. I think friends. When I was leaving one of the young man asked if I needed assistance. I move really slowly after sitting and being tired. It was a really sweet gesture. My escort was waiting for me at the one to walk me out.

The teenagers were earning community service hours. Okay but do something useful. We have had the come in unannounced. Given a task thy are easily bored and have an attitude!@ before Covid we had a different system. I was locking back door. Mom arrives with bored son on tow. She had n attitude. Well there was another girl. They were given tasks. She didn't like hers and drifted away. Off my soap box. I know there are lots of good young people but they seem to need to be entertained!!

Happy Saturday!  I shouldn't even say this but our weather is going to be really nice today....comfortable 70's...windows open A/C off...let it rest!  I can't imagine 105 in TX!  Take it easy there and, again, be careful with those canine rugs all around you, cookie.  

I can imagine it would be hard keeping a building cool at TS, kittyfan, with customers coming in and out.  You do have a busy day there with a variety of duties.  Hope your day goes well.  (Auto-correct drives me nuts sometimes too.) 

This weather will be perfect for bike riding, Tootie, so I will send it over.  I would love going on a bike ride like yours.  People watching is such fun too.

We are taking a former neighbor and her two young boys out for pizza tonight.  The restaurant is on a lake and has outdoor dining.  We hope to get there early enough to get a table outside.  Her husband left her a few years ago.  She had to move out as she could not afford the house here.  They did divorce and she is doing ok.  We try to stay in touch and take them for pizza at least once a year.

They came to the July 4th run too...all three ran in it and youngest son won a medal for his age group.  Fun for them.

Enjoy those clean sheets, cookie...agree...so nice.  I remember QM saying if she could have them changed everyday she would.

Well, adios for now.....oh, I remember those Creamsicles...loved them!!  Get yourself some, cookie!  Maybe we all should!  😋

Another late start and a day of heat with some humidity - predicting 106🥵 Same as yesterday.  Stayed inside and watched House Hunters - love seeing the different architecture and decorating.  Saw a couple of kitchens that looked very similar to DD's MIL's.  They were filmed in 2016 but still interesting.

Tootie, hope you are enjoying your nice weather and thank you for sending some down.  I think it was hijacked 😄 😮

walker, how fun to visit with your old neighbors ... were you able to sit outside? ... it sounds like a nice place to visit ... anything by the water 👍

kittyfan, I can just picture the attitude from the teens that are working on their community service hours ... when I use to help out at our Religious Ed program we had many teens come in to get their hours ... most did not want to be there and showed/expressed it ... they were more of a hindrance! ... after such a busy day, what a great "welcome home" dog Jake is!! 😊 Hope you were able to get some sleep.

We met up with DD/BF down by the water yesterday for lunch and were able to find a picnic table right at the water!! .. there's a couple very casual restaurants (both pretty much offer the same things) that are right across the street from the park.

We'll have an 82 degree sunny day ... I'll try again with sending some "cooler" weather to TX ...
