Happy Thursday!  Body clock not reset yet ....awake at 5:30 again....at least I woke up to sunshine!  I guess I got the TX sun because we will be in 80's today.  I'll send it over, Tootie.  Maybe you can send your cool air south to cookie and kittyfan...😆.  With SCC anything is possible!

Buttercream frosting makes me hungry for a piece of cake, kittyfan.  Love it too....especially QM's special white cake with lemon filling!  I need to make that...someday.

I never made it to the store yesterday....just could not leave the house....get in car???😳ugh!  Did not even take a walk...but today...back on track.

Tootie, have fun with LS and "girls only" party....tea parties in your future! Fun!

cookie, have you been reading instructions on printer set-up?  I always try but need someone to walk me through it...glad your DS will be your "on call tech" Saturday....plug her in and GO! 🤞

kittyfan, that cantaloupe dish sounds delicous!! hope you are able to get over to the Cafe to enjoy it!!

walker, that cake sounds really good too!! all this talk about food is making me hungry ... it's funny you should say that about having a "tea party" with LS ... when LG is home we have a "picnic" with him ... he has a FisherPrice basket (the food is all different shapes that fit into the top of the basket) ... he sets the tablecloth up, puts the plates and silverware out and we have to "eat" the sandwiches and fruit ... so much fun!! oh! and cups to drink out of too!! ...

I'm home from watching LS ... DS's appointment wasn't very long and he had a conference call to get to (still working from home) ... LS decided it would be fun to take a nap instead of playing with Mimi ... 😏😊

It's clearing up now ... I sent the rain down to Texas (hopefully you ladies will get it ...)

Hi there......awww, no playtime with LS, Tootie!  How cute about LG and his picnics.  More fun to come with those two.  

kittyfan, that cantaloupe does sound good....simple enough to make myself.  Might have to buy that next time at store.  Today I could not find the TX grapefruit!  ☹️ Is the season over there?

I was literally talking to myself and gasping at prices in store today!  Coffe I usually get...up $2...over $10 now...forget it...I'll take something cheaper....coffee is coffee.  This inflation is really getting out of hand!!!!  🤬

Then I went to get gas.....holy cow.....well, DH likes premium in this car....today it was $5.99 a gallon!!! 🤬

On our trip...,prices were $4.50 to $5.50.  Might have to start riding bikes or get a horse!  Nah....price of hay is probably up too...haha!

That white cake my mother used to make was from scratch too.  Unheard of today, eh?  But, I might have to get her recipe out and try it.....someday.

Yes prices just escalating. Gas prices going up too. I stop at one station. I don't price shop. Mainly have their CC. I pay at end of month.

Tootie, your picnic with LG brings back many memories.  The little food basket sounds so cute as well as educational - and fun for him.  You are such a good Grammie. 🎇✨ Funny about LS taking a nap instead of spending time with Mimi.  This could be the beginnings of little kids UB's!😊

walker, prices are going up every minute!  We get our coffee from Costco and it went up from the last purchase!  Next purchase will require a bank loan😄😣.  Gas?  It has become ridiculous - glad I am a homebody!  

kittyfan, I remember the good old days with a gas credit card.  Even better it was a perk of my job!   With all the tampering with the pumps it is strictly cash now.  So sad our world as we knew it is upside down😥

Manicure this morning - hope the price hasn't increased - this is my do for me thing to do. Kitties are humming - it's time for breakfast and the Feline Police better get going!

Good morning friends ... walker, prices sure are skyrocketing!! but I'm glad that we have choices to choose something cheaper if we want ... I never had any luck making a cake from scratch ... but DS does ... so I really don't have to try anymore 😏😂 ... that cake does sound really good!!

cookie, good luck with your manicure ... I hope that price didn't go up ... but like you said,  it's your "for me" then it's worth it!!

Happy Friday to all!  We have same weather today, Tootie...88!  Too hot too soon....like TX I guess. It finally came, cookie...ha!  Tomorrow and next week more normal...60's.

Had to chuckle about LG and Ranch Dressing, Tootie....kids must be same....mine love it too......and ketchup....with everything!

cookie, enjoy the manicure.....manicures, pedicures and hair cuts....all feel good treats for ourselves and we deserve those perks....well, hair cuts are necessary! By the way, I just found out my hair cut gal/salon is now charging $80 for a hair cut/blow dry/style...😳.  I may have to make a change or go less often.  I think it is ridiculous.  I have been going there/to her for about 10 years.  Seems I started at $55 or $60....thought that was a lot...then went to $65.....I thought if it goes to $70 I'm gone....we'll, it did and I stayed....then it was $75 not long ago and now $80!

Then I tip on top of it.  I have an appointment next week and may be honest with my gal.....I may not be around very often....🙁....or skip the tip.

kittyfan, did you ever try that mission church in your area?

Hi there.....good grief....have not had news on but read here that there was another shooting in Chicago at a McDonald's...2 killed...others injured.  There are no answers why this is happening!!!  So disturbing!!  We aren't safe anywhere!!!  Depressing!  Tragic!  Unbelievable...it never ends!

Very humid here today.  I am tempted to turn A/C on but tomorrow it is suppose to be cooler.  

Also, ANT SEASON again!!!!  UGH!  I discovered them in kitchen today so quickly cleaned floor and set down ant traps.  Annoying!!!  But, I remind myself....not snakes or alligators....🤣.

Good afternoon.

Yes the bad news continues. Road rage is common here. I try to just keep my eyes on the road!

My SIL was almost a victim if a scam. She had the message on her computer. Instead of calling her son who is in IT she called the number. They had her on the phone for 2 hrs. They convinced her to go to bank. They were still on phone with her. They hung up when she ran into a police officer at the bank. Fortunately all was well but a very disconcerting experience. Her brother told her she should have called Microsoft number nit the number on screen. Boybi understand the panic but it could have cost her
