kittyfan, I heard about the toy shortages too ... I guess I better start thinking of what I might want to get the kids for Christmas ... yikes!! did I just say Christmas??!!  and LG's Birthday  before that.

We just came in from sitting outside ... it is a perfect 73 degrees ...

Hi there.....nothing going on here either just thought I would check in.  I did not hear about toy shortage...lucky for you, Tootie, this year ....ages of your LG & LS...easy to but for....lots of fun things at that age.  The older they get...not as easy.  Right now I can't even think Christmas!

Days are definitely getting shorter!  Oh well...happy Fall!

Good morning ~

I heard about a toy shortage too.  Do you think it could be  a hold up with incoming frieght since a lot of toys come from China and other countries?  Glad I don't have to buy any toys - yet.  

I agree walker, I can't even think Christmas!  I no longer look forward to it the older I get.  Sad I know but the reason for Christmas has been forgotten by so many people.😥  Christmas is fun for the little ones and I do enjoy watching them participate.  

Thankful that Hurricane Ida has calmed down.  I feel so sorry for all those people who lost so much.  I know that other states are sending help and food.  I don't think I could live in NOL knowing about Hurricanes.  I'll take an Earthquake anyday.  I loved visiting several years ago though - it was one of the things on my Bucket List.  

Thank you walker - IT IS WEDNESDAY!  Nothing going on here - cleaning crew comes today - love them - such nice ladies - daughter and mom.

cookie, I think you might be right about the issues with freight coming in ... and I totally agree with you about Christmas, it's become way to commercial.

Our temps have finally decided to drop ... today we'll have a high of 75 ... cookie/kittyfan, I'll send some your way ...

We got a call yesterday that our glasses are in so we'll go today to pick them up ...

Happy to welcome September!  Hopefully, we will have a nice Fall....even though that, officially, doesn't come for a few weeks.  But, I'm ready for it!  I was going to get my mums but wouldn't you know....my geraniums decided to bloom again....so I will wait a week.  

Nothing new in my world....sunny day...thankful for that...sure feel bad for those who went through the hurricane.  Earthquakes would scare me too...no warnings...right, cookie?  At least we ...usually...get a tornado warning before they hit...also very destructive.  Weather forecasts are quite amazing.

Well....time to get my breakfast and head to grocery store.

Hi everyone.....beautiful day here ....off with A/C and open the windows...let the dust blow in..haha.  Oh darn....just put some chicken on stove to parboil....it just boiled over....arrrggh....better pay attention.....going to make a chicken salad for dinner.

Hello ... I can see clearly now ... but it's very difficult to get fitted for new glasses with a mask on ... after wearing the glasses for a while I need to take them back to get them adjusted ... not a major one but they just don't feel right ... just one reason I don't like getting new glasses ... my old ones fit me perfectly!! 🤓 hahaha!!

walker, we still have our geraniums in too .. and the mums!! DH didn't want to rip them out just yet, so the mums (in their pots) are sitting inbetween ... 🌷🌷

I had to laugh at your comment about open windows letting  "the dust blow in" ... we had such a nice breeze here today.

I hope your spillover wasn't too bad ...

Lost my post

I am in two bookcluns. The more formal one is the oldest in the State. A member said she was resigning as she was moving to Morganeskia. Not sure on spelling. I did g ogle it. Very old city. Not sure I could move a 16 hour flight away. As mother lady and her husband were moving to Mexico.

A friend lost her daughter today. She had been on hospice. Hugs your family and tell them you live them.

kittyfan, sorry about your friend losing her daughter.  I have never heard of Morganeskia - may have to Google it.  I wouldn't want to be that far away from my family and friends either. 

walker, I am laughing along with Tootie about your open windows and letting in the dust.  That is why we rarely open our windows - we usually have a breeze and cleaning up dust is no fun!  Hope it didn't interfere with your chicken boiling over on the stove 😊😮 Dusty chicken salad?

Tootie, I never thought about trying on new glasses with a mask.  I wonder how they can adjust them if you are wearing a mask???? Hope they get it just right.  Old ones always fit better don't they 😉

DD's  friend from CA and her daughter fly in this weekend for a visit.  I enjoyed her when she was here a few months back.  Haven't seen her daughter since she was 8 or 9 - she is now 30!?

Good morning friends ... cookie, yeah those masks make it very difficult to get a good fit of your glasses ... my mask is shaped further up on the nose so I flipped it down best I could ... it's just not the same as going maskless though ... oh well, we'll just have to go back ... what a fun visit you will have your DD's friend and daughter ... you won't even recognize her!

kittyfan, sorry to hear about your friends daughter ... I've never heard of that place either ...
