P.S.   On my bird life and DH ..... he did surprise me when he went out to feeders yesterday.....he does not mind birds...sort of....he banned feeders near house awhile ago because of seed mess (on his grass...😂)...bird poops on deck (I understand that one)....and the DARN SQUIRRELS!!!  He really dislikes the squirrels.....so if they stay in the back of yard...no problem.  Then I really laugh when the squirrels try to build nests in tree near the house...DH really goes nuts.  Constant battle and I just laugh saying....poor squirrels have to live somewhere..😂...grumble, grumble...funny....maybe I could suggest DH put up a sign ....NO SQUIRRELS ALLOWED!! LOL!

Hello ... walker, I went and checked out the video of the panda sliding down the hill ... so cute! looks like fun!! ... laughing at your DH with the seed mess and totally get the bird mess ... birds around here love DH's car ... our town doesn't allow bird feeders because we (the town) had issues with rats coming out for the seeds ... we have a family of 3 squirrels that live in the tree in the back ... I don't mind them ... but they are out all the time so I can only imagine your DH's pain ...

It's been snowing and blowing here all morning ...

Hi all ..... we had a sunny day after the snowstorm of yesterday.  By this afternoon, after plows had come again and spread salt, the streets were pretty clear so I took a walk.  It was pretty out...must say...some beauty in winter.

Tootie, we have several squirrels that come around.  One is pretty territorial and chases others off.  If I EVER SEE a rat...I AM DONE with feeding birds!!  We have friends that live in an area where rats were a problem.  One time we were visiting them and sat outside.  This friend is really bird crazy and has several feeders which is BIG problem.  Anyway, as we sat there, I saw this strange thing out back...DH nudged me and later said "that was a rat"...I was SHOCKED!!!!  Needless to say, friend was asked to remove her feeders.  I think she has gone back to it now though.  YUK! AWFUL!!!  

Better get dinner going or at least think about it....have a good evening.

Hello ... lucky you walker, you got to see the sunshine today ... and you were able to get your walk in ... I second the YUK to rats ...

We saw no sun today and it snowed all day here ... just that real fine snow but we ended up with a couple of inches.

popping in to close the kitchen don. Worked on getting my tax stuff ready. Didn't quite finish. 

I seem to have lots of squirrels. Ms Holly is not a fan. Jake could care less. 

Café reopens. I really missed them. They are letting restaurants open at 75 per cent. And bars at 50. Hopefully it will remain but I will continue my caution. I have not been to a store other than grocery since March.

Good morning ~  walker I see you got some SNOW!  Here I am enjoying 68 degree weather!  We have squirrels also but they are always running up a tree since the dogs chase them and bark - dumb dogs, sneak up quietly!!!  They are such cute little critters.  No rats that I know of.  Kids had the domesticated variety when they were young.  They were actually cute and very friendly.  

Tootie, hope you are staying warm.  Only a couple of inches of snow?? Weatherman was saying how the entire NE was a blizzard???

kittyfan, how nice that the Cafe can open.  I agree with you about continuing caution.  I will continue mine as well - going only to the docs, drive up pharmacy and bank.  Not much change for me since I am a homebody anyway.

cookie, apparently we are right on the edge of the storm and that is why we are getting so little snow ... lucky us this time!! today, we'll have a repeat of yesterday ... high of 30.

kittyfan, good news on the Cafe opening ... I think we are all going to have to be cautious for a long time yet ... I can see us wearing masks for a while.

walker, any more snow overnight for you??

Good Morning Friends!  🇺🇸😷⛄️

SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER!  That is what the famous Punxsutawney Phil Groundhog said!!  I'll be happy if it is ONLY six weeks more!  No snow overnight, Tootie.  But, we are suppose to have a wintry mix on Thursday followed by deep freeze temps over weekend.  So, I need to get out today and tomorrow for groceries, etc.  Then back into hibernation.

You heard right, cookie, lots of snow....official report for our area north of city....10".  I am like you....think we all are....remaining cautious.  My big social outings are the grocery store(s).....oh...haircut once a month too.

Happy to hear The Cafe is reopening for you, kittyfan.  I wonder when I will go back to a restaurant..🙁..maybe summer when outdoor dining starts again.  

MissMadi, did you get the snow?  Seems Tootie was pretty lucky.  Guess it is our turn this year.

Hi there.....sat down awhile ago to write and got a phone call....now....an hour later....I'm back but need to get ready for dinner....and my 5:00 medicine!  LOL!  Like a One-A-Day Vitamin only better!!!

I did get to the store today for a few staples. Tomorrow I will get my meat and fish.  Then it may be hibernation for a week or more!  Better check my ice cream supply...haha.

DH likes it everyday.  I could eat it everyday but he burns calories easier than I do.  ☹️
