Good morning ~  Another lucky day - slow, very slow, but able to get on.  Sounds as if your driveway snow scraping/shoveling is something you don't look forward to?  Glad to hear it's done!  

walker, you always come up with the good sounding drinks.  I do like Rum and Pepsi, so I might enjoy your Rum Chata (what is it?).  

Spent a very lazy day yesterday - we never did get the heat wave the weatherman promised, but still warmer at 45-50.  SIL smoked/grilled a Butterball turkey.  It was outstanding!!  That man can grill/smoke/BBQ, etc!  

We will have the ethernet by the 16th ( must be on a slow boat), so it will be sketchy for another week.

Good Morning Friends!

Whoooo Hoooooo we are above freezing here!!!  Not much but we'll take it!  High of 36 today.  We had freezing rain last night so the sidewalks, etc, are still slick.  Not sure if paper is out there or not but thought I would wait for DH to get up.  If I fall, he can call 911......ha!  Or.....he can go get it!

cookie......love your U....funny!  I will try to carry on but this could become a challenge.....see how far we can go.  By the way, Rum Chata is similar to Bailey's Irish Cream if you are familiar with that (?).....but with rum. It comes in a nice white bottle......nice for "sitting and sipping".  It would be great to sip on after one of your SIL's great meals....I am jealous!

I stepped in before Tootie so better move along.  See you all later.

Good morning friends ... seeing walker here I thought maybe I was later than usual ... haha

It is snowing again!! they are predicting a couple inches, but it is windy and the snow falling and on the ground already is going to be blowing all around ... ugh!! ... BUT, a high of 32 today!!

cookie, what a great day you had .... UB's and grille/smoked turkey ... what could be better??!! ... the shoveling of the driveway isn't bad, it's when you can't get out to shovel and then the cars drive on it and pack it down ... when you try to shovel it just skims the top layer of loose snow off ... the rest has to be "chopped" ... they pieces come off like "little icebergs" ... the chopping is the worst part ... but you're right!! it's all done!!

Catch up Monday for me today .... have a good day .... pouring and passing ...

Bright sunny day here 🌞🌞🌞🌞😎 which is great but sun comes in the front of the house and thermostat registers that it is warm.  So, furnace does not kick on very often.  Makes backside of house cooler.  I should not complain because it keeps fuel costs down and I LOVE THE SUN!   You needed to know all of that didn't you?  HA!

Heading over to DD's for afternoon so guess I better go.  Just waving 👋 hello .... Hope day is going well....see you later.

Walker, I know exactly what you mean about the sun ... our thermostat is in the middle of the house so that is not our issue ... mine is, in the summertime especially, the sun just beats on our front windows, making living room and bedrooms like saunas ... can't redirect the sun, so I guess we have to just grin and bear it ...

It has been snowing here most of the day ... and because it is a "warmer" 34 degrees ... the snow is wet and heavy ... ugh!!

Good afternoon what a day. Arrived at thrift store to see piles of gravel. Alternate parking. Then we were told to move. Can't get back in. So finally told to go. Unplanned free days. We actually had a great group. Got lots done. No such thing as caught up! But I can use this extra day to get stuff done.
Wednesday my friend is honored with the building bearing his name. Three of us are attending.

I have been dealing with a friend mov ing. We have gone back and forth finally just drove over. Finally a plan. She is a dear but so frustrating.

Why did you have to leave Thrift Store?  Gravel for new parking area?  Other?

Tootie.....careful with the heavy snow....time to crank up the snowblower?  It is such a joke to see me with a snowblower!  I end up looking like a snowman.....never get blower going in right direction!  Shoveling is much easier to control...ha!  Or call the local snow plow guy!

Ended up with just my GD today...GS at friend's house.  What a delight being with just her....so cute....played school, baked muffins and tried some crafts that didn't work out real well...A for effort.

Time to dim the lights.....have a restful evening.  See you in the morning!

Good morning friends ... it looks like cookie is maybe fighting with her computer again this morning ... hopefully, we'll see her later ...

walker, it sounds like you had a fun afternoon ... I remember having one on one with my nieces and nephews when they were little ... we have no more little ones (that I get to see) and I miss that ... I was not able to shovel that snow yesterday!!  ... I so wish I could control the snowblower!! I think I would end up in a snowbank or doing the lawn instead of the driveway ... you're right a shovel is much easier to control ...

kittyfan, you got a free day!!?? ... but will you have double duty now when you go back??

I have to run to the post office this morning ... I wonder what mood people will be in today?? ... I'll let you know.

We're in for a mild stretch of weather this week ... 30's today and Thursday they are predicting the 50's!! ... so the snow I didn't shovel will just melt away ...

Happy Tuesday!  (And, hope it is at the post office..ha.). Thanks for the coffee, Tootie.  One cup to open left eye....one to open right eye....lol.  

cookie ..... could be "now you see me, now you don't" until you get the system fixed.  At least we know you are ok.....just very frustrated.......you may need Grandma's Medicine! 

No news from me .... doing extra help this month with grandkids so today it is my three amigos.  I might be needing the medicine later too.
