Hello friends ... walker, how fun to go to a surprise party!! ... I'm sure he will be very surprised especially since your DIL didn't tell her mother 😉😄... that's a good idea to try and follow (not literally or maybe you would) the food truck 😂...

I am wondering how LS will do at this wedding ... she is our drama queen and is as stubborn as a mule! ... 🤞

kittyfan, that's great news that DB actually got some much needed sleep ... and I can't believe that the Fourth is coming up ... thanks for the reminder about the Capitol Fireworks! 🎆🎇

My job of feeding the cats is done and now I'm back home to enjoy a UB ...

Good morning friends ... I have no new news since yesterday ... so, heres my weather report 😄 it is 59 degrees right now but will climb back up to 81 today ... laughed at me being a reporter, and today I'll put on my investigating hat 🔎... we had a helicopter flying over all night, well into midnight ... not sure what was going on ...

Happy Sunday!  Another hot one here...90's...A/C going non-stop.  81 sounds better!

Surprise party was fun....not sure honoree thought so though....HA!  I did not see his face when he came in but saw his wife.  She gasped....then was speechless especially when she saw her sister and family flew in from TX.  I do think DIL's father was pleased and he greeted everyone.  The kids had pictures of him and family rolling on the TV which was fun to see.  Evening weather turned out nice so we ended up outside to eat, etc.  DIL's dad is kind of serious but the one who can really get him to smile is my DD....so funny, he really likes her.  All in all a nice party.

kittyfan, I'll be looking forward to July 4th concert but agree the Memorial Day program is my favorite.  Hope the extra sleep helped DB feel good again.  House almost done?

Tootie.....Super Sleuth...😂....I'll be curious what you find out too.  Hope helicopter wasn't looking for an escaped convict!  And wondering how LS and BG did in wedding. Hope LS did not get stage fright.  Maybe BG held her hand..ha...and pulled her along?

Oh the surprise party was a definite surprise. How sweet company from a Texas attended.

Brother was at my house yesterday. I was watching him work when his DW called. We chatted for a long visit.  She wanted to go out to eat.  Brother came bringing me food.  Did some ,,"honey dos " for me. I don't argue with him just sit back!   Today they had multiple events at church. They called me on the way home. Too late for dinner-- ok by me. Brother heading to my house in morning. I assume meeting with contractor.  Eight cameras are up.  Too much technology!  Brother and his DW are both technology geeks.  She said at the afternoon church event her phone alerted. Their dear son was going into the house.  

Brother brought me some handy remotes for lamps. 

Not sure what date for my house. So many dates have come and gone.  I know some things still need to be done.  Makes my head spin. Glad I have brother dealing with all the decisions and headaches.   He loves a challenge and this has been one. 

We have been under heat alerts.  Not unusual for us.  We deal with this every summer.  Feel for those not equipped to cope.

Brother and his DW and dog scheduled to head home on Tuesday.  I know he has other dealings to attend to.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, wow! eight cameras! ... no slacking off work at your house!! 😄

walker, glad the surprise party was a "surprise" ... especially with the relatives coming in from Texas.

I did find out about the helicopter ... they were helping the police chase a stolen car ... taken from a town about 10 minutes from me, through my town and into the next ... they did end up catching the guy!

I saw a video from the wedding (there's that technology) ... it was yesterday afternoon (a Jewish wedding) and the kids did a good job  ... the bride had several kids in it (all the bridesmaids kids 😲 ... 6 in total) ... the boys all walked down in a group and the flowergirls as well ... so there was no stage fright ... LS was supposed to drop the flower petals ... so funny, one petal and then a big handful (all the way down the aisle 😄) 

Another hot (indoors) day here ... high of 91.

Ok, I think the boards are telling me I've yacked too long ... I just lost my whole post but luckily was able to use the "load" button ... ok Q, I'm going, I'm going!!

Happy Monday!  Last day of June and another steamy one.  We had quite a rain storm blow through last night so the muggy meter will be up again.  

Tootie, I laughed at your message to the Q...ha!  Maybe that's the problem ....we have a time limit here or number of words then gremlins strike...😂.

CUTE story about LS the flower girl.....glad she and BG did a good job....all on "cue"....go! 😁  Nice that you could see the wedding video too.....👍technology!

Action in your neighborhood the other night, Tootie....like a TV show...live....too close for comfort....glad the guy was caught.....assuming "guy" because I have never heard of a high-speed chase involving a woman...😉...(except SCC..LOL!)

kittyfan, your house remodel makes me think of the show Fixer Upper.....only that one is done in an hour...🤣🤣.  Eight cameras.....home security there!

No news.....better go before my time limit is up too.

Good evening 

Oh the olive chase.   I was reminded of star flight flying over my house many years ago.  It woke me up and I went outside.  Neighbors were out.  Apparently someone missed the curve and hit a tree. For years there was a wreath on the tree.  Every time I would drive by I was reminded.

Of the wedding sounded delightful.  How sweet to have all the kids participate.

I was watching brother on the camera. I was ok until he got on the ladder.  One foot on the ladder and the other on the counter. I did not want to have to call my neighbor and 911. I did talk to him. He said he had eaten and was hydrating.  The AC is not functional.  I told him the house is surprisingly comfortable even without the air.  He said enough trees around to shade.

He was leaving there to make another stop.  I am hoping they head back tomorrow as planned. I know he has obligations other than my house.

Watched the weather. We are in for triple digits. I guess it is summer.
