Happy Friday!  5 degrees ....brrrrr.  Coffee helps!  Furnace running really helps!  Going to a high of 28.  No snow, no wind so not tooooo bad...😉.

I like trips down memory lane, kittyfan.  DB is one very special friend...meant to be!  Enjoy your dominoes....maybe Chatty Cathy won't make it! 🙄 Sure!

Tootie, wondering about LG and his birthday at school next week.  He'll be so excited.  Remember when we used to bring in home-baked treats or cupcakes for class?  Not anymore.  Some schools don't don't allow much due to so many allergies with children.  I remember making those cupcakes in ice cream cones.  With or without, I am sure LG will enjoy his day being the "special" LG in class!  Get the wrapping done now....party time!  

I am getting a long-overdue haircut today.  I have been putting it off because of being busy with other things and travel.  Also, my gal takes a few weeks off after Christmas.  So, I wanted to hold off and get a cut that makes it to end of January.  After being long now I'll feel too short today. 🤷‍♀️

walker, oh the ice cream cone cupcakes! I did that too! ... and sometimes the kids would want to help make what we called popcorn bags ... popcorn, M&M's and pretzels ... not sure if that would be allowed now or not (even for bigger kids) ... the treats for LG and even LS in daycare have to be store bought (and I imagine no peanut butter) ... his gifts are wrapped and I'm ready to party 🥳

We're at a cold 10 right now and our high should be 23 ... glad I don't have to go out until later ...

Happy Saturday!  Happy party day for LG....kick off of his birthday week. 🎉  Those 5 years have flown by!  Might have to change LG to BG (big guy)...ha!  But LS will always be LS! 😉..😉  Enjoy the party, Tootie!

I just saw a lot of snow in your area, Tootie.  Missed you?

It is like us with snow in Chicago.  We live north of the city and sometimes snowstorms go more to south of us.  We don't have any, or light, and other areas are digging out.  

I got my haircut yesterday and it is shorter but that's ok....duh...that's why you get it cut! 🙄  My gal liked how it had grown out though.  So, I suggested a trim...shape it up....but, as she talked she cut and you know how that goes...haha.  

Today, I will try to finish some Christmas things....still need some small items.....cards to finish too.  Glad I don't have to go anywhere.  I also have to make cookies and return plate to new neighbors who brought us cake a couple of weeks ago.

Good evening

Oh LG having gus party. I know it is hard to imagine that he is already five. ,

Chatty Kathy was there. I had a buffer but she does wear me out.  She is engaged neither have been married.  I am thinking what an adjustment.  The last thing I would want at this juncture in my life is another husband. One and done for me.  Although brother keeps close tabs on me!  

Today was wreaths across America. I went the first year.  It was freezing cold.  But wow looking at all the wreaths.  

Before I moved I made a donation to the library open house event. I got an email looking for sponsorship.

Last night I got a text from lady I worked with.  A former coworker of ours had moved to Florida a few years ago.  She would pop u on FB from time to time. Her mom who I had met passed a few years ago.  Our coworker had a massive stroke and didn't recover. I was trying to determine her approximate age but I know she was younger than I am.

As brother always says no guarantees in this life.  

Last night I joined brothers church on zoom.  Some lovely Christmas music which I enjoy. I was a bit frustrated.  I logged in at appointed time. 30 minutes plus late on starting. Brother not in town but I saw his DW on camera and she did a reading in the program.  

So true about homesfe treats. So many good issues

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, there is nothing worse than waiting for something to start ... 30 minutes is a long time to wait! but glad you enjoyed the Christmas music ... oh boy! I sure hope that ChattyCathy's future husband realizes he may not get a word in edgewise ... sorry about your coworker ... DB is right, no guarantees ... and my FIL (rip) used to say "our days our numbered" ...

walker, yes, we got very lucky with these latest snow storms ... areas around us got hit pretty bad and we ended up with a couple of inches ... I know what you mean about talking during a hair cut but at least it will grow back 😉😁 ... did you tell us you were celebrating your Christmas today or did I dream that?? Merry Christmas if you are!!

LG BG (good idea walker) was so excited about his party ... it was Star Wars themed, which he loves!! we had pizza and wings but BG wanted a salami sandwich (his favorite) 😂 ... we ended up playing with his new race track and Star Wars ships 😊 ... today he is going to The Polar Express ... a smaller train that actually re-enacts the story ... he is really excited about that!!

Happy Sunday!  I woke up at 4:30 and did not go back to sleep....🥱...but, stayed in bed until 6:00.  This time of year there are too many things going through my head.  On top of that...it is foggy outside...so added brain fog...😂.  I'll need the UB today!

kittyfan, you had a lot to report ....Chatty Cathy engaged?  Oh boy....but, laughed when you mentioned husband at this age..ha!  One and done for me too...we'll, not done yet but I feel same....never say never but it would be too complicated...finances, legal stuff, etc.  I'll go out to eat though...haha.  Glad you got to enjoy the Christmas music from DB's church.  The wonders of technology that connect us all over...👍.

Sounds like LG/BG's birthday is off to a good start with fun time yesterday.  Then onto Polar Express trip...more fun....love that story.

Your memory is good, Tootie.  I did agree to celebrate Christmas early today.......reluctantly....then the light went on in my brain...No, I will not be ready, I don't like celebrating so early...feels like...check the box...done.  SO..I told kids....change of plans....talked to DH and ok with him to do it all on his birthday, 23rd.  We will celebrate his birthday before dinner and Christmas after dinner.  DS apologized later for committing too soon to plans with his in-laws....22nd and 24th....and DD is with in-laws 22nd and 25th.  That's how it goes some years.  We did have our big celebrations last December.  Go with the flow...HO HO HO.

Good morning friends ... walker, glad you were able to give yourself more time for your Christmas Celebration ... and now also your DH's birthday!! ... that will be a busy but fun day!! ... we'll be going to DS's again this year ... hope you got a good nights sleep ... I was up for a couple hours last night ... not sure what that was all about, we didn't have fog so I can't blame it on that 😊

Happy Monday!  Roller coaster weather here too, Tootie.  Today we will get to 50!  Good weather for last minute running around!

I am fully charged today!  I slept like a rock last night!  Crazy...opposite of night before.  When I woke up, I could not believe it was after 5.  The ol' "slept like a baby" night.  I did get up at 6 but came downstairs and thought I read clock wrong...ha.  Nope....two clocks said 6AM and my regular news people were on saying it's 6:00!  YEA! 🥳. This time of year we have so much on our minds.  Maybe it affects our sleep...like you being awake last night, Tootie.

I need to figure out my menu too for our birthday/Christmas celebration.  Keep it simple is good idea!  Received phone call from DIL's sister yesterday inviting us over on Christmas Day.  So we will join family there.  They live close to us as well and we enjoy all of them.
