Happy Sunday too!  Finally, we are going to get some rain today!  And, cooler temperatures too!  👍

Tootie, cute story about apple picking yesterday.  LG is a born leader, eh?  What a fun-family-day!  Time for baking and eating! 😋 Any plans for those?

Hope we hear from kittyfan today and she is doing ok...as well as Jake and Holly!  Sadly, I'm thinking we may not hear from cookie....😢....but, never say never...would love to be wrong.

Hi there.....it has been a rainy day....quiet inside day...yesterday was a hot inside day...tired of it!  Did not go to GD's soccer game due to rain.  DD said team did play though...🙄...and it was better for them than playing in the heat ...ha!  Guess so.

Finally seems to have stopped raining so might go for a walk.  Maybe I'll find someone to play with...😂.

Good evening

We are all fine. Yesterdayi decided to do laundry.  One washer still down.  Multiple trips. Finally finished after midnight!   Courtesy not to leave your laundry unattended after it finishes 

Yesterday I got up and went to get breakfast.  Got back and brother called.  We chatted about things on our respective home fronts!  

This morning I went down to attend our community church.  Usually find out grapevine news. Came back to join brother in his church by zoom.   This morning the were also on zoom.  Shortly after brother calls.  His DW was also there. We were discussing food. She is a very particular eater!  About that time Ms Holly joins the conversation. She was whining. dW asked what was going on. brother said it was Holly.  She hears his voice and has to be included.  He said they are very spoiled. Hello their doggie is very spoiled. 

On Friday  there was a baby shower for one of the maintenance people. He was so helpful to brother coming in early and doing extra. They had been trying for a time.  When I got the invitation I shared with brother. He was excited to pick out a gift card and nice card.  The card was ready and he grabbed it on his way out to the airport. He said he was able to personally deliver it. Dad was delighted. I thought it was special!  I was gone at dominos when event took place.  He is special to the little old ladies.

Oh the apple picking sounds like such a fun event.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, I agree, you don't want to find someone elses laundry when you try to do get yours done! ... poor Holly, she just wanted to say hello to DB!! ... what a nice gesture to have a shower for the maintenance man and I'm sure he appreciated his gift!!

walker, it's a long season for soccer so I'm sure you'll get to one of your GD's games ... too hot or rainy, you can't win! ... we're finally getting some rain and lower temps ... just hope I can keep the windows opened!! ... DH hasn't decided what he wants to make just yet ... apple crisp or he found a new recipe for an apple cobbler he may try ...

Yesterday morning I decided it would be a good day to get our ornamental grass cut in the back ... boy, was I wrong ... it was so hot (even though it was cloudy) ... this grass had taken over the whole back garden (it had spread to about 5 feet across!) ... we wrapped it with some twine first and tightened it up (like a corn stalk) and DH was able to cut it from the base in one piece ... done!! ... and that was the only thing we got done in the back ... 🥵

Indoor day for me ... have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Tootie, apple crisp or an apple cobbler sound good at your house!😋  You really had your work cut-out (literally) for you yesterday with clearing the ornamental grass.  Good to have that project done, eh?  Smart way to tie it in a bundle and whack...done!

kittyfan, good to know you and pups are doing well there.  I agree on being courteous when using laundry machines.  Do your laundry, pay attention and get it out!  Someone else is waiting!  I used to get so annoyed visiting family in FL.  Boys did own laundry which was good but they would throw it in and forget it until next day....arrrgggh.  Inconsiderate plus things in dryer are all wrinkled!  Ok, off my soapbox..ha!  On a thoughtful note...Very nice gesture to give gift card to maintenance man...exciting time for him.

Happy Tuesday!  Might be inside day here ....rainy...was going to grocery store but we'll see....might be another mañana 😉.  We will go to GD's volleyball game later..rain or shine.

Turned on news....something about Buffalo Bills and an emotional interception. ?  Must have been a good win for Buffalo, Tootie.  I'll wait to see more reported. OH...it was by Hamlin the guy who had that heart problem a couple of years ago👏.

Also, because I get coffee and turn on morning news, I see this is the big United Nations week in NYC.  That always makes me laugh because I went to NYC with a good friend during this time several years ago.  As we were leaving our hotel, we were stopped because they were expecting a dignitary and securing area.  My friend....like a Chatty Cathy..would not stop talking to a security man.  I sat on a bench and kept trying to get her to sit down and shut up.

We were like Lucy and Ethel.  Turned out to be President of Turkey arriving for a speech.  We were released 😂 and when we returned he was leaving.  The security detail looked at us like....oh no, it's them again!  🤣

Nothing new so I babble away.....be careful kittyfan...PT might have you kicking a soccer ⚽️ ball! Ha!

walker, I just saw your email to cookie ... that was a good idea!! maybe, just maybe, she will see/have access to that and we will hear from her soon 🤞 ... what a funny story about "Lucy and Ethel" in NYC ... I can almost picture the look on the guards face when he saw you two again!! 😂😂

Where has this week gone? and I can't even remember what day it is lately ... but we have LS again today ... it's going to be a rainy day so we may not get outside ... DD is going to stop over ... LS will be so excited to see her, she "calls" her on her play phone all the time!
