Happy Sunday!  Happy 🎂 Birthday to your DS, Tootie. I was just thinking about our birthdays here in the Fall.  I finally got smart and wrote them down last year.  So, we celebrate you next Sunday, Tootie.  Time for mimosas! 🥂

kittyfan, I know you don't miss hospital but food maybe?  Have you been back to your dining room or "eating in"?

No news here....no woodpecker sightings...👏👏.  Funny, I have a friend nearby who had woodpecker problem on her chimney last year.  So I asked what they did....it went away but now it is back!!  I laughed and said...sorry we sent it over...😂.

Yesterday was chilly but nice.  I fixed chili and it sure hit the spot! 😉

Good afternoon

Brother called me late last night. News on the home front. Dumpsters delivered. House will be taken down to bones. 

Brother called this morning. Usually on Sunday  will be a church. If they are there attend on Zoom. I join on zoom. We agreed a change in the air. Time for sweats. We both run cold. His DW is running warm. 

He was outside with the dog. Said Amazon making a delivery. I said it's for Ms. M. The dog. His book was delivered to my house. 

Happy BD wishes. Brothers big day is Thursday. I still remember a BD many years ago. we were eating cake in the conference room.  He was leaning up against my shoulder.  Someone snapped pics. 

I do miss the hospital food. It was surprisingly tasty. And they gave you multiple choices. If you didn't call to order they called you.  I went down to check my mail and pick up a menu. Oh may uninspired would be an understatement. I checked the freezer and fridge to see what I had. I need to send brother shopping!  

Last Sunday they came to visit. He took off his jacket. Hung it on the chair and vanished. When he returned I had a new supply of gowns, toothpaste, shampoo etc. before I went to hospital he had picked up necessities and packed my bag. Of course he was doing doggie duty. 

Need to tackle my meds. My box is empty.

I hope that things were taken care of with your old contractor ... what a shame that the food at your place has gone down hill but at least you can fix things (that you like) in your room ...

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DS ... we had a good time ... DIL had blown up a bunch of balloons and the kids were using them as a "bounce house" ... they crammed them in one corner of their play area and were having a blast jumping in  them!!

We'll have another rainy 68 degree day but after this the weather should go back up into the 80's ... it looks like a nice stretch of weather coming up!

oh cookie always said this ... "it's Monday Moanday" ...

Happy Monday!  Moanday...🥴....you are rght, Tootie, one of cookie's terms.  I looked forward to her descriptions of each day.  🙁 

We need some of the rain you have been getting, Tootie.  None here....this week back into 80's...even near 90 a couple of days.  

Sounds like it was a fun birthday for all yesterday, Tootie.

Kids and balloons...cheap entertainment eh?  Will you have another party next Sunday?  Mimi's Day! 🎈🎈

kittyfan, so surprised your house is being taken down...or "to the bones" as you said.  Must make you a little sad. And so it goes.....life is change as we all know....new things everyday.

My corner of the world rather quiet.  I am reading a book I just happen to see at library....caught my eye as I like biographies and always curious about White House families.  This book is called The Mysterious Mrs. Nixon...very interesting.  When Nixon became President I was in my teens and could care less.  I clearly remember when he resigned office though....newly married that year.

So, today might be laundry and more reading...walk too.

Good we're in

Oh birthday balloons what fun. We are in BD season!

To clarify I am having major work done. Partly as I hope their are no big surprises but I know they lurk.  I had a number of issues to address. Easier to just do one major overhaul. 

Today we started out in the 60s. 

Covid if here so I have been limiting interaction.  

Dogs were both napping in the bedroom. Brother called. They both came in to participate in the conversation. Silly fits. They knew they would let treats. 

Tomorrow have a list of phone calls to complete. Leave message wait for call back!

Personally I could not imagine being a first lady. Years ago I attended a College graduation. Laura Bush was speakershespoke of her knees knocking under her robe. I think this was long before her presidential days.  I thought she would be nice to chat with---book club buddy!  Boy do miss my book clubs but thinks change.

We had some heavy, heavy rains and winds yesterday afternoon ... I sure got my exercise closing windows ... it came down hard and fast!! ... now we're in for a long stretch of sunny and warm weather ... 10 days worth!! 🌞

Tomorrow we have LS, so it's shopping day for me ... I've got to take an inventory in my freezer to see what kind of meats I have to grill too ... taking avantage of this nice weather coming up!! ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Tuesday!  DH just left for an early dental appointment so all is quiet.  Just me and my coffee! 😊 oh, I'll take a mimosa, Tootie, thanks!  Cute comment for our cookie too!  

You know, since kittyfan mentioned being First Lady...not for me....BUT....if I was I would have a lot of brunches with mimosas (and quiche!) instead of those ten course state dinners.  I would allow UB's after too...😂. By the way, another fun book I read was written by the White House florist about First Ladies she worked for....told about favorite flowers of each and setting up dinners, etc.  More behind the scenes stories.

Good luck talking to a real person with phone calls, kittyfan.  I am so aggravated with these computer generated messages ...push 1 or 3 or..how can I help you? LET'S GET STARTED! 😠 PUT ON A REAL PERSON!  ONE I CAN UNDERSTAND!

Tootie, is LG still enjoying school?  Sometimes the newness wears off and kids want to go back....but, sounds like LG likes being off to big school.

Enjoy the nice weather, Tootie.  Soon leaves 🍂🍁 will be changing which I love to see.  Fall is so pretty and then.....well we won't think about that yet.
