Went to lunch with psr of the dominos ladies. One had a BD. The tradition was to celebrate August BDs at Cheesecake factory circumstances have changed and only one Remains. Covid stopped the practice. Flashback visit. One lady in he group is new and doesn't know the history.

Brother got to own on Thursday. Yesterday dealing with medical appointments. Called me about right. Did I want a ruebens. No too late. Had a stop to make. I am thinking he needed to take his DW dinner. Finally arrived. Dogs were happy to see him. I was happy too. My TV had lost sound days ago. He worked and worked and finally got sound to come back.  Wasn't sure what he did. Argh

We have appointments next week and a trip to the house. We need to stop at the bank. Unfinished business.

kittyfan, it sounds like you will have a busy week coming up with DB ... I hope that you can get your house issue finally taken care of ... ugh! TV problems again ... isn't that a new(er) TV?? ... hope you had a good lunch celebration.

walker, laughing at your suggestion about giving ChattyKathy the wrong date 😂😂 (can you imagine the chatter the next time they met?? 😄) ... your kitchen sign made me laugh!! and what's funny too is that I have a sign that says This House is Protected by "Killer Dust Balls" ... given to me by an older neighbor friend years ago (who absolutely made sure to tell me it was all in jest) ... hahaha!! ... glad you got your cleaning done.

DD stopped over yesterday so I had her go through a couple of her boxes that she had left here ... she emptied both out! donated most and kept a few mementos!! progress!! I came across those when were moving things around the other day.

More rain is predicted today, although we never got our rain until during the night ... a cooler 77 today!!

Happy Sunday!  Sigh....August 2nd since cookie was here....something very unusual happened at home or to her health....😟.  I've thought about this happening and we never know.....but, she'll always be here in spirit...if she can, she'll be back.  ((((🍪))))  On we go.....

kittyfan, you'll have a busy week ahead....good luck with everything.  It should be fun with DB there...minus appointments, etc. It must be hard to revisit your home.   Lunch with friends must have been a nice change of pace for you....and no Chatty Kathy! 😁

Tootie, you are doing a good job at getting rid of things.  I laughed at your sign too about "killer dust balls"...😂...I need that one as well.

I echo shout out to Cookie. Missing her.

Yesterday when brother arrived he had picked up he menu for next week. I had two old menus for comparison. I had been making comments about the food. He said I would have good choices when we go out after appointments.  I always have food available as an option.  He reminds me about my weight gain !  Since he goes to my appointments tracks everything. We need to got o bank again. Trying to make care of business.we has tried to accomplish this last trip.  Not completed.  

Fortunately Chatty Cathy had another function. Of course instead of saying that we heard great detail.

My TV was purchased when I moved. Smart TV. Bring back the TV with just a few options. 

I still have a bunch of stuff at my house I need to dispose of. Itis a work in progress.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, I hope you can get things taken care of at your house ... I know all about trying to empty out a house ... it certainly is a work in progress and can't be done all at once ... enjoy your meals after your appointments you have this week ... I agree about the Smart TVs ... just give me one that has on/off, channel change and sound change ... that's really all we need! 😁😂

walker, I was wondering too if we would ever hear from cookie again ... I always told DH if something happens and I can't get on for a while to hop on and tell you ladies.

DS and kids came over yesterday (DIL working) ... LS is so funny, she got mad at grandpa because he told her to stop knocking down LGs towers that he builds ... she goes in the other room, plops on the floor, crosses her arms, scowls and says "I'm angry at grandpa" ... she is our little Drama Queen!!

We'll have a cool 68 degree day with a chance of rain ... that cool air feels so good compared to what we had ...

Happy Monday!  We are flying through August! 😲 I am enjoying the cooler-Fallish weather.

Yesterday we had a nice, last minute, invitation to DD's for dinner with her in-laws.  DD said we hadn't seen each other in awhile.  It was fun.  We enjoyed a delicious grilled hamburger dinner with home-grown tomato/cucumber salad, potato salad and corn-on-the-cob....brownies for dessert....yum!  But, here is the funny story....follow-up to your story about LS the Drama Queen, Tootie....

DD's in-laws raised three boys.  Father-in-law came from family of four boys.  Along come granddaughters...they now have four plus one GS.  GS and GD are oldest.  The younger girls are 4, 5 and 6.  A week ago they took care of all three.  They both said "girls are sure different than boys"...ha!  Mentioned "drama queens" too...😆.  Tried taking girls to nearby park.  They got four houses from home when youngest collapsed and cried...it's too far, I'm too tired, I don't want to go....long story short she wouldn't budge so grandma took her home...others went on.  We laughed at that and I laughed again when you told the LS story, Tootie.  Life with girls! Enjoy cuteness but comes with drama too.  And, boys roll their eyes...😂.

Guess I am babbling.....but, another subject....yes, agree kittyfan and Tootie...bring back simple....no Smart TVs, Smart Phones, etc....Simple please!  😂

kittyfan, have a good week with DB and getting things done....appointments, house, etc.  Stuff in homes collects and multiplies like dust bunnies!

dB called me after his Drs apt.  Doc told him he needed to put on weight I agreed. He did not!  

Tomorrow my apts and lab. Drs office called to remind me.

Good morning friends ... I'm dragging today ... I tossed and turned and finally went downstairs for a couple of hours last night.

kittyfan, you don't hear that too often that the doctor tells someone that they need to gain some weight 😏 I'm sure your DB burns all of his off because he never rests! ... I hope you had good appointments today.

walker, oh yum! you did have a good "surprise" dinner ... I laughed out loud at your story about the in-laws little GD (and I can picture it happening) ... ya gotta love 'em 😁😂

We had a very cool 62ish degree day yesterday ... I even had to close some of the windows! ... same kind of temps today but they should start to climb back up by tomorrow.

Happy Tuesday!  Coffee time...👍....still missing one of our friends here....😔....gone but not forgotten, cookie!  We can think of it as she has taken a "leave of absence"...returning soon...🤞.

No news in my world.....the usual...get ready for friend coming Thursday...errands today....weather is great!  It will be cool until the weekend.  Saturday our neighborhood is having a Block Party.  DH will go because he is part of the association board.  I'll pass because friend will be here and too hot!  

I have never had a doctor tell me I needed to put weight on.....in my dreams....ha! DB is Energizer Bunny...always moving!  Good luck with appointments, kittyfan.

Tootie, those "tossin' and turnin' nights are so frustrating!

You will definitely need a UB today....recharge for kids tomorrow...😁!
