Good morning ~

Wow, Tootie your weather sounds awful.  Hope it improves.  We will be 82 - cooler than yesterday but today they are predicting 86% chance of rain😕 Glad I am staying inside today doing laundry and trying to get rid of this back/hip problems which also comes along with other problems. Will try ice instead of the heating pad today.  It does feel better to walk around - good suggestion Tootie!!!  Also a great suggestion - Ruby Red Mimosas!😋

walker, glad to hear you resolved your A problems.  They do have great CS.  Hope your back is improving - no darn fun.   Might try Deep Blue Rub - if it works for the Queen, then it may work for me!

Happy Thursday!  Wishing everyone a good day....pain free day.....well, maybe mild pain day....get out the ice pack, cookie, think it does help.  Good S!  

My back has definitely improved....BP too...so hope this flare up is behind me.  Today I need to go to store and I want to take a walk too.  We are into a nice weather pattern for November....sunny and mild temperatures...50's and even near 60....I'll take it.

Oh boy, a trip to Disney for LG and LS....what fun!  Good time to go before Thanksgiving when it will be crowded.  We have gone several times over the years.  I remember when our DD was about age of LS.  She did not like the big characters.  I went up to Goofy, who is my favorite, and she would not look at him....ha!  Too bad you can't go with them, Tootie.  Looking forward to the Disney report.

On Tuesday DB took me to replace a lost ID  i knew i was in system but failed to bring documentation.

lady was very patient and finally located critical information.  Got my new ID  we stopped at store.  i had said i thought i wanted to get a printer,  he saw a nice one  we looked at laptops but Mr Bargain hunter knew of another route which i knew but hSNT CONSIDERED,  HE has a credit card in his name which i am ressponsible for,  Easier for him booking flights etc.  I come back after dinner.  He is setting up laptop and installing printer.  when i opened the door i was first taken aback until I realized of course,  He has come in and out many times.

He made some copies of various IDs for his records  while he was struggling with the printer got a face time from his GS.  handsome little fella looks exactly like his dad.  they had a sweet conversation  he had insisted he wanted to ccompny dad taking granddad to the airport on monday. DB left and i walked out with him.  about 10 30 got a phone call  couldnt find documents.  i got up and found them on the table.  crisis averted

kittyfan, you sure had a busy day!  Your DB is such a great guy.  How cute of his GS to facetime with him.  I'll bet he is adorable. Glad you were able to settle your ID with a nice, patient lady.  Good CS is valuable.

walker, glad your back and BP has improved.  Hope you were able to get in a nice walk.  I am feeling better as well - all day Wednesday with the heating pad must have done something.  I am going t try the ice today to complete the end of this misery.  We are SCC Strong!!! (well, most of the time 😄)

Tootie, hope LG and LS have a great time at Disneyland.  I remember the grand opening very well and later we lived just a stones throw from it. I have had enough of it but kids love it.  It is now very $$$$$$.  I did love the rides andI loved Pluto, I had a ceramic figurine of him until I moved and he was gone forever.😥

We are catching up to your cooler weather - today we will be 58 with rain - oh joy. Good day to stay inside with a Mimosa, icepack and a long UB.  I will make this happen after I get home from my manicure.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, how nice that your DB was able to get you your laptop and printer ... have fun with your new "toy" ... glad you were able to get your new ID without any issues ...

cookie, I'm sure the kids will have a great time in Disney ... they are both so excited to see the castle and of course all the characters ... glad you are feeling better ...

walker, glad you are feeling better too ... I guess I'm an "old stick in the mud" 😂 I had no desire to go to Disney ... it would be nice to see the excitement on their faces but I know my DIL will have lots and lots of pictures ... we're going to have some 50/60 degree weather next week ...

I have my physical next week so I went for bloodwork early this morning ... the lab I go do as gone to "mostly" appointments now ... you can walk-in but you will have to wait ... a while ... I learned that the hard way ... but, lesson learned and I make appointments now.

cookie, glad you are feeling better....if heat works, maybe you should stick with that.....feels better than the cold ice pack ....one minute shock when you apply....ha!  Whatever works....feel better soon!  I was able to get my walk yesterday but came home and used ice pack for awhile.....don't want to push my luck. 

kittyfan, a new laptop and printer....nice!  The world is yours now...😊.  Hope meals are better...laughed at the Velveeta for bland cauliflower.

Tootie, hope bloodwork report and physical next week will be A-OK!  When our kids were young, my parents had retired to Florida...not far from Disney.  So, could not miss going when we visited them. No hotel costs either. 👍  It was fun back then and not as expensive!   Little did we know our oldest DS would live in the area as an adult now too.  So....once again....trips have included Disney but not in recent years.....too expensive!  I think I might like to go back one more time for old times sake....DH doesn't share my enthusiasm....😂.

All for now.....weather is unbelievably nice....loving it and enjoying while we can.  Tootie, you might be able to still sit on your patio!😁

Good afternoon.

Busy in my world.   Yesterday housekeeping came about noon.  I put the dogs on the patio while she is here.  Then the folks said my door would be installed that afternoon. I had left a note on my door saying I had two dogs. I came back after lunch and the dogs and I were having a UB. Knock on door saying they were ready to install.  I took the dogs into the bedroom with me. They took about one and one half hours to complete. She was gracious and had her son reinstall my doorbell.  About five knock on door.  Dear brother with dinner.  We visited. He had lost a bunch of weight. Refused to buy a new suit. So we had one altered. They didn't do the jacket so we had to pick up.  Had a funeral to attend.  I knew his schedule and walked him out.  Wished him a safe trip.  This morning I was still in my nightgown. On phone arranging a service. Heard a male voice. I didn't realize it was brother. Finally realized who it was. Said he was just making sure I was ok. I assured him I was simply on phone.  He did call from airport. Said his flight was delayed. Since his local address is close he thought he would pop in.  He said he grabbed an apple from dining room.  Had some hot tea at airport.  Had I been thinking I could have offered him food.  He said Jake greeted him at door.  It was cold in house.  Housekeeping cranks it down and I didn't think to change it.  

It was lovely to be able to copy some orders from the doctor.  In the past I would ask him to print for me which he always graciously did but it is another but I can do.

Glad you ladies are doing better. This cold damp weather throws Mr. arthritis  into  overdrive.

Shady Oaks has another new chef.  He has a long history of work at some upscale spots. Not sure how he ended up here or how long he will stay.  Trying new menu selections.  Friday is fish Friday. Actually very tasty. Was happy to see it wasn't deep fried!  I tasted a fish dish someone else ordered one day.  I thought it was tasty.  Yesterday I had a yummy crab cake. We are such a diverse population. Actually from lots of areas in country.  

Oh Disney. Brother has been many times. Done with that. But his son still loves going and a new generation.

I remember one time when we still worked together. Got a phone call. Someone in another office was trying to reach him.  I said "gone to Disney". I think it was t'giving. 

Holly finally got up!  Silly girl.  Last night when brother was here she was being a drama queen demanding treats.

Hello friends ... kittyfan, a new door (nice that Shady Oaks does updating) and a new chef (he worked in upscale spots?? I wonder if he ever cooked for our Queen 😉😊) I hope your food tastes a lot better now ... I never had them but I had an aunt that made zucchini boats ... zucchini cut in half, seeds removed and then stuffed with stuffing or sometimes pasta/sauce ... I was younger and didn't want any part of them but now I probably would like them with stuffing ...

walker, if I was that close to Disney I would have gone too ... I don't like to fly so that is a big deterrent for me ... but how nice you have all those memories and maybe someday (if you convince DH to go again) you can add a few more ... any plans for your big day next week??

We finally had some sun today ... I did some organizing on my shelves in the pantry ... combined a bunch of Lock and Locks ... made the shelf a lot neater looking ... now if it will stay that way 😏
