Back again.....coffee helped.....ready to rock and roll now...haha.  Sun is shining bright..👏👏.  I have errands today...one more grocery store.  Good luck finding your things there, Tootie.  Hustle your bustle..😂.  Me too!

I also have a hair cut appointment this afternoon with my former gal.  I was going to do it in December.  But, last week, my new gal was out so I decided this was good time to go say....bye-bye to former gal.  I'll give her an extra tip.

I will choke paying the $80 too especially when I get same for less now...minus shampoo..big deal.

cookie and kittyfan, hope the rain passes for Thanksgiving weekend.  But, our "sous chef" (good one, kittyfan) will work her magic in the kitchen!

Hello friends ... glad you found your brain 😂😂 I hope you were successful in getting what you needed at the store ... I found the garlic and pie crusts but they didn't have celery 🙄 they were running a sale (buy one/get one) and they were wiped out! ... so I finished up shopping and went to another store ... found it! and headed home ... good luck with your hair cutting gal as you bid her farewell ... the only thing I really miss about my old guy is that I can't make appointments ... and sometimes the girl I like is not there ... but oh well, I can make my "do" work ...

Sunny here and I can't believe how much the snow has gone down ... that's a plus for those that need to travel for Thanksgiving.

Tootie, glad you got your shopping done even though you had to go to two stores.  I am bringing a dip on Thanksgiving and the best chip for it is Fritos Scoops.  I went to two stores and there were NONE!!  Darn!  Not going anywhere else....found another type.  Must be a lot of dips being made!  Ha!

So, I saw my former haircut gal and she didn't seem to realize it had been six months since I was there.  She knew it had been awhile.  While I was feeling bad, life moved on without me...😂. Guess she remains busy and people don't mind paying the prices.  She was happy to see me and understood (I think) my reasoning about expensive haircuts.  She did give me a really good cut today so guess I am good for awhile.  I may or may not go back once in awhile to catch up on her life.  But, no more feeling bad....silly of me. 

No other news....no more running around..it is CRAZY out there....tomorrow home to cook and prepare food to go on Thursday.

Ladies, I'm not sure if I read it here or heard it somewhere else, but has anyone ever made their mashed potatoes early and just reheated the next day?? and how do you do it?

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️ 🦃

Gobble...Gobble....Happy Wednesday!  It will be an "in kitchen" day.  Tootie....I fix Make Ahead Potatoes.  I'll be doing it today....make, mix, mash and put into a crock pot tomorrow to warm!  Done!  I will post my recipe on new message on boards right after I have breakfast.  Recipe uses potatoes, sour cream, cream cheese, butter and minced onion.  But, I think you could make your regular recipe and reheat...might need extra milk.   I do Make Ahead Stuffing too.  Anything to make the "day of" easier.

So sad to hear of another shooting!!!  I have no words....

Better get moving...busy day ahead...back in a bit....

cookie....is your prep work done?  kittyfan, any plans for tomorrow?  Pie from Cafe?  Or, are they closed?

Hello friends ... potatoes and squash are done and DH made his pumpkin pie ... every year I make the squash by baking in the oven then mashing with butter and brown sugar ... when I was getting the squash ready, there was a sticker on it to make in the microwave, so I tried it ... it actually was so much easier and quicker ... it took about 20 minutes compared to the hour in the oven ... tasted just the same too!! ... I don't know why I never thought of doing them in the microwave 🤷‍♀️ and I'm excited to reheat those potatoes tomorrow ... so nice to have things done the day before!!

WHEW!!!! Grandma needs her meds tonight!!!  What a day...in addition to cooking I did the laundry...back and forth with roller skates on....kitchen...laundry room...kitchen...laundry room!  ALL DONE!!!  I made the potatoes, stuffing, breakfast casserole, cranberries, and two dips/spreads.  Yes, Tootie, so nice to have things done ahead of time!  Glad you had a good day too and you learned a new trick with squash and microwave.  Sounds yummy.  I hope I have energy to fix dinner now..simple one!

Tonight I have to pack.  Tomorrow load coolers, etc, and off to country/lake we go!  Lucy and Desi hit the road again.  🤞🚗
