On Tuesday called bakery to order pie. To pick up today ar 2. Arrived. Called to say I was out front. Said we just took it out of oven. Come back. No cigar they brought out hot pie. I was not happy. I gave them plenty of notice and was clear on pick up.

Love lox and bagels. Haven't had one in ages.

kittyfan, what a bummer!  Pie not ready especially if you called earlier and gave them plenty of notifiction.  Maybe they had something go wrong?  Pie too hot - not a good thing for transporting🔥🥧 They probably didn't know you were the Queen Bee 😏  TS renovation sounds like $$$$.

Laughing about Fred and his special yellow hat🤣  Served a purpose - no back seat drivers!  Ethel will make him pay dearly I'm sure.  At least you got a nice dinner and some $$$$ wine🍷🍷.  Lucy would have "fixed" Desi's wagon 'and hidden a bottle of wine in her purse or under Desi's yellow hat?😄  Have a great time!

Good morning friends ... walker,  safe travels again this morning ... is Desi pacing to get out the door?? laughing at Fred not finding his yellow hat ... glad you found a restaurant so close to the hotel and enjoyed your $$ wine!!

kittyfan, ugh!! I would not be happy either about your pie not being ready ... that's the whole reason you call ahead and order for pick up! ... I hope it was good!!

cookie, our weather is supposed to start being a little warmer then it has been today ... right now we are at 35 but should go up to a sunny 55!! ... geraniums are such a hardy plant that we leave them in the garden for as long as we can!

We had a beautiful day here ... I walked out the door into sunshine and warmth ... we were even able to take a UB out on the patio ... so nice compared to the past 4 days of chilly and wet weather ...

Hi there.....Day Two....Lucy and Desi still together in same car.....ha. He didn't leave me a rest stop...🤣.  Travel went pretty well in spite of all the road construction! 😬 We arrived at resort and waited on Desi's younger brother flying in from California..funny to use that term..."younger"...none of us are younger anymore.  Anyway,  he/they arrived later and we were all tired....decided to get dinner here.  No one wanted to get back in a car.   Tomorrow we will meet rest of family for birthday celebration.   So, ready to just turn in for today. 

Tootie, sorry we bumped...I was " out of line"...haha.

How nice of Desi not to leave you - our Queen - at a rest stop.  If he tries, make him wear the awful yellow hat - ha ha.  Today's the Birthday party - celebrate and enjoy!  

How nice that you had some good weather Tootie.  Glad you got in a UB.  Hope the weather continues and you can go bike riding.  

No news here.  Went for my manicure yesterday and then off to Target.  Had to stock up on peanut butter.  They have Skippy Peanut Butter and our local grocery does not carry it😞  I must have my Skippy!  Wandered around and realized how I miss that.   Got in a good walk too.

Good morning friends ... walker, what a fun weekend you will have ... kind of like a reunion to see DH's family ... glad there was a place to eat so you didn't have to get in the car again ... I always feel like a "twisted pretzel" when we travel far in the car ... enjoy the party!!

cookie, glad you were able to and enjoyed your time in Target ... I like that store too! ... and you were able to get your Skippy!!  all in all a good trip for you!! ...

We decided that we are not going to be exchaning Christmas gifts with the family ... not my kids/grandkids but with my DB's/SO's and adult nieces ... there's only a handful but it was getting so difficult to try and find something (that they already didn't have) and would end up getting a gift card for them and they would do the same for us ... DD took charge and sent a text off asking everyone's opinion and everyone was good with it ...so we'll just buy for the kids/grandkids.

We'll have another sunny and warm 70 degree day ... 😎 Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Tootie, I agree with the Christmas gift exchange!  You are right, everyone has pretty much everything already.  Gift cards are great! Last year, GS and I decided upon an amount we could/would spend and each one of us bought something we wanted and wrote each other a "thank you" note for what we got from each other😊  That way he got something he wanted and so did I. We will probably do it again.  little kids excluded of course.  One year we all chipped in and bought gifts and supplies for a less fortunate family that belonged to a local church.  Feel good Christmas for everyone!😊🌲⭐
