Many years ago I worked with a gal who moved from KY.  I didn't know it was such a big deal!  They were having a big party to watch the debry.  

Lots of $$$ changing hands!  

It was cool this morning. Jackets were out in the morning.  Brother is out of town for a few days.  He is always cold.  His DW runs warm!   So they have a constant discussion.  He said he had his heated throw for the hotel.

We'll have another rainy and cool 54 degree day ... we seem to be in a rainy stretch!

I saw the Derby on TV ... ugh! it was a muddy, muddy mess! I don't know how those poor horses were able to run in that without breaking a leg ... they were sinking into the mud!! ... my gosh, $5,000 for a drink?!! ... you're right walker, drink or bet!?? ... I think SCC would buy a drink and cheer on all the horses ... we would pay for our first drink and somehow manage to get more "on the house" 😉😵‍💫

Happy Sunday!  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAY❣️🥂 Thank you for that nice greeting, Tootie!  I wish you and your DH the same....Cheers to the Years❣️Happy Anniversary to you too! 🌹 I think you said 40 today and we are at 51.  Memories! Memories!  Pick a good place for dinner.  We are planning to go to a restaurant we have been to many times over the years here.  But, we haven't been recently....traffic has gotten worse to get there.  Sunday traffic shouldn't be as bad 🤞so we will go there....I think...always subject to change...ha!

The Derby was a muddy mess!  I am so glad it ran safely for horses and jockeys.  I laughed about your comment on the expensive drinks, Tootie...."buy one and find a way to get more on the house"...😆.  We could do it too!  Fun to see all the hats.  Horses are beautiful animals.

Thank you, kittyfan.  Just back from church which was nice way to start the day. Oh, first...I fixed nice breakfast.  Now...lazy day (which I do well) and later dinner out.  Get my appetite ready!  😋 Enjoy your dinner too, Tootie, wherever you go.  We'll update tomorrow. Good morning friends ... we enjoyed a nice dinner ... we ended up going to the same place we went to last year (new place for us then) ... we went around 4ish and it wasn't real crowded then ... food and atmosphere was really good!! ... steak dinner with salad and squash and for dessert a big piece of chocolate to share!! ... yum!! ... all washed down with wine!! 😂 ... hope you had a good dinner too walker!! ... DD stopped over and gave us a bouquet of flowers! ... we had a very nice Anniversary!!

Today we'll have a cloudy but warm 70 degree day ... rain around dinnertime! ... today I have to do my chores that I didn't do yesterday 😏

Happy Monday!  Cinco de Mayo!  Enjoy the day! Ole'! 💃

We enjoyed our anniversary yesterday too, Tootie.  Yours sounded very nice from DD with flowers💐 to dinner🥩🍷!  Two years in a row....maybe your anniversary restaurant now!  Dinner sounded very good.  We went early too...about 4:30...perfect....walked right in and seated.  Food and service could not have been better.  This restaurant is known for its seafood but has beef as well.  We started with their famous garlic rolls and crab cake appetizers.😋. Wine, of course!🍷 😁 DH had his usual fish and fries which came with hush puppies too.  I had red snapper with macadamia nut crust, mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. 😋 Fish may not be that good reheated but, I had to bring some home.  Delicious dinner!!😋😋 No room for dessert...😟.  Have to go back more often but decided Sunday is best for us now...getting there and not as crowded.  Not cheap... I am never a cheap date😆...but, worth it.  On we go for another year.  Our waitress was impressed when she heard it was our 51st anniversary.  She said...that doesn't happen much anymore.  Long time with same roommate..ha!  Go for the Gold now, Tootie.

Hope DS and family are having fun at Disney.  More stories to come.

Tomorrow is DD's 19th anniversary.  We are going out to breakfast to celebrate it.  Not sure if DD and SIL can join us but we will celebrate them anyway...😆.  It's a good eating week! 👍

Oh more anniversary wishes!   

Yesterday brother got back in time for church.  I articulate on zoom.  His DW was home so she was on zoom.  I never know what his duties are.  About six the door opens. He comes in bringing me some food items.  He was yawning when he left. I thought he was going to go home and sleep.  He flew out this morning. I was laying on the bed watching a YouTube. As I decided to go to the bathroom the phone rings. I simply said " I thought you were doing to bed". Then I heard his DW say 'oh" and I looked down to realize who was calling. I apologized and we spent an hour on the phone!  He sent me a text early morning so I knew he wasn't sleeping. I got a call regarding the house. I called him and he called back to say his flight had been delayed. He called me from the airport to say he was boarding. His son was picking him up.  Parking fees for a week add up!  

He said weather had delayed the flight .  I am sure all is well.  It's been rainy most of the afternoon.  Saw a report of hail in my town.  Just small hail but I do have a $$ roof!  

We had a Mexican meal at lunch. I was still full so I didn't go to dinner.  I hardly go to the dining room.  My choice but brother is my personal shopper!  

I have to agree so many marriages don't stand the test.  Everyone goes through stuff.
