Hello friends ... what a beautiful day we are having ... I got my windows washed with the help of DH 😊 ... I got some pictures of LG/LS at breakfast with some characters ... LG was so excited to see Goofy that he literally crawled over LS to get to him ... funny picture!! ... today they went to Hollywood Studios and saw Darth Vader ... LG loves him ... more cute pictures. I'm sure I'll have more to report once they come home and LG tells me all about his trip ... they will be back tomorrow afternoon!! (really .. already??)

Oh what fun they are having. Special memories!!!!

Today was family Thanksgiving Dinner at Shady Oaks. I didn't have a guest but was invited to join a lady who I often visit with and her daughter. We had a delicious lunch.  

Housekeeping arrived at noon. I stuck the dogs out on the patio and went to the dining room.  It was really good.  I enjoy Thanksgiving foods. Then the mobile groomer arrived for Jake and Holly.  Baths and nail trims.  

Talked to brother. He has decided I need to lock my closet. Not to protect my wardrobe but I do have a file cabinet with important papers.   I have decided I really enjoy having a printer. I don't have to ask him to print my documents. He always did so without complaint

Hello there.....time to close kitchen?  I'm following kittyfan so guess I wil do it.  😁  Your brother may be right, kittyfan, if you can lock your closet for anything valuable.  Maybe in his next visit he can do that for you.  However, from my experience with my mother, those on staff who want to take things are looking for something they can easily get....jewelry....a credit card left around...something to pick up and go.  They probably would not want important papers.  If they are dishonest, they want "grab and go".  It did happen to my uncle who had a credit card in his wallet.  It was stolen one night but person was caught.  Sounds like you are feeling better after procedure, hope so.

 Tootie, the kids are going to be so excited to tell you about their adventures at Disney.  What fun!  On another subject....funny how we are so aligned with each other.

DH was working on a couple of windows today too.  Tomorrow I said we would both do a few together.  This house has the worst windows for cleaning!  I used to do windows on my own but no more...not this house...too many!  I am ready to hire job out but not DH! 🙄 Mr. DIY!

I have noticed that I rarely see anyone in neighborhood cleaning windows...period...themselves or hired!  I like clean windows.....when possible.  Most people close the blinds and don't look out.  I would be nuts!

OK....babble in the morning...babble in the evening...babble all day long...😆....guess I'll say good-night......rest well everyone!

kittyfan, it is a good thing to lock your closet for anything you want in there.  My MIL had things - mostly laundry - stolen all the time.  Also a friend had her personal effects and her special candies that she loved, stolen.  They even stole her denture paste!!  How sad for this world.  Very nice that you had a good lunch with a friendly lady and her daughter. Food must be improving?

Tootie, the littles are sure enjoying some fun times.  Glad you got some great pictures.  Looking forward to their reports on Disney World and the Hollywood Studios.  Glad you had a good day - even better since you got your windows washed.  Hope it isn't catching ha ha.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, glad to hear that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Dinner with your friends ... it sounds like you must be feeling better ... I've never experienced someone in a home but you got some good advice here about locking things up ... like cookie said, it's a sad world when we have to lock our belongings up!

walker, how funny about doing windows on the same day ... we got ours all done and now we're expecting rain today ... go figure!! ... I know what you mean about people not washing windows ... the house next door has a piece of tape (on the inside from when the "flipper" worked on it about 7 years ago) still on it!! those windows have not been washed since then!! 😲 two different sets of owners ... oh, and my blinds have to be opened!!

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🍁🍂🦃....🇺🇸

Happy Friday!  Getting chillier here and most of the leaves are off the trees....🍂🍁 😞.  I really noticed the trees yesterday when I walked....bare!  I enjoy the changing seasons but this is the hard one as we approach winter.  🥶 Grin and Bear It! 

cookie, hope you are feeling better from backache and other issues.  Good point you made to kittyfan about clothes.  Unfortunately, clothes go missing too.  I had forgotten that one.  The good thing is that we know kittyfan is still alert and sharp.  Also, staff knows her brother visits regularly to keep an eye on things too.  Those with sticky fingers will usually lift things from others who sleep a lot or aren't as aware of things.  Sad world is right that we have to always be on guard.

Tootie, hope your check-up goes well today.  Later the family returns from trip to Disney.  LG and LS will be bouncing and full of stories.  One of my favorites there was It's a Small World ride...boat ride through different scenes and children around the world.

Good morning

Jake and Hollyhock had a visit from mobile groomer. Of course brother referred me to her. She is fabulous. Door to door service. Dogs love her. Came back so soft.  They are sleek but felt really good.

Brother came last evening. I was talking about nurse Nancy at the hospital.  Not her name but you know how I love to tag folks. He had a chuckle and agreed with my assessment. I did comment on the number of tattoos I saw!

He is heading home later. Asked if it was via Memphis!  Said he checked his ticket to be certain. Said he thought he was on the wrong plane when they said Memphis. Nope his ticket was correct,!  We will laugh about this one for a long time.  I did warn him news said airport will be busy with the holiday.

Oh I know the littles will be happy to share their big adventures!

Walker:  bare trees are so sad. I am looking out my patio door. Still green here. With the recent rain 

Cookie:  I know we are expecting cooler temps to come. 

There was an officer death on duty. TV is streaming procession.  So sad. 

I haven't been at Shady Oaks that long. But I know if they need to access an apt there are always two people.  There are so many levels here. I haven't seen the lady not oriented to time space in a while.  I am thinking she is in memory care. I know my neighbor up the hall has moved also.  She was the one who thought I was a long lost friend!  

Yes I am fortunate to have brother checking on me.  When he sees the director he makes certain to acknowledge her.  He does make his presence known. Their is a lovely lady who is a conceigere (sp). He always makes it a point to let her know he is checking on me. He dealt with her a lot when he was setting me up. 

Last night he went on my Amazon to order something for me. He asked why I was buying a heater. I laughed and said it was a family elder care wish list item. No I didn't need a heater.   He has my Amazon password.   He did buy me an electric blanket. Will be toasty warm.

Hello friends ... doctor visit went well ... lost 10 lbs!! 😊 (I have been cutting back with snacking while watching TV at night) ... cholesterol also dropped (still higher than he wants but at this point, no meds required) ... he wants (or suggested) that I get 4 vaccines!! 😲 ... Covid, Flu, Pneumonia and RSV (he also suggested with what he's seen in the office, to get them in that order ... one at a time and wait a week or two inbetween) he and his wife just got over Covid (both are doctors) and with us being around the kids, he thinks that Covid vaccine would be a good idea ... ugh!! lots of thinking on what to do ... I know he's looking out for my best interest.

kittyfan, that's a good idea for your brother to make himself known around Shady Oakes ... enjoy your electric blanket ...

It's pouring rain here and DS just texted and said it's raining there too ... his flight is delayed ... just a waiting game now.

Hi there and good afternoon.....I am really tired!  DH and I tackled the window cleaning project in two bedrooms upstairs. Five windows but two outside panes both sides in each which I did while DH handled both sides of inner windows.  I quit!  The other two bedrooms can wait until spring or never....ha!  I/we can keep up with the lower level but put off upstairs...a pain!  Past due and dirty so DH took the glass panes out and I cleaned them in bathtub.  I'm not doing them again!  Time to hire the help.  Newer windows 💰would be easier but not going to do that now.  GREMLINS! 😖

Tootie, congratulations on weight loss and good report from doctor!  Now the dreaded shots....🥴.  I had my flu shot a few weeks ago....I always get the regular one not the senior dose...did ok.  I had my pneumonia shots a year ago and did ok.  I'm not doing Covid or RSV at this time. I have to talk myself into the shingles shots now and tetanus.

kittyfan, that was a funny story about brother's trip all around to get to you...ha.  Oh well, maybe he got some extra frequent flier miles.  Bet he won't do that again. 

All for now....I'm ready for a glass of wine.  That is what I need to give up to lose weight....empty calories!

Walker:  oh my window washing. Chores never do end.

Brother called me. Said he hadn't made it home yet.  He said he was on his way home but had store stops to make.  Stores already getting crazy.  But he does love the challenge.
