walker, I just read about Hurricane that really hit Florida strong yesterday.  Hoping your family and friends are safe.  Scary to see the devastation in pictures. 🙏🙏✌✌ for them.     Love the X including bubbles. 

Tootie, I thought of you and the kids when I saw the biggest bubble maker I've ever seen.  It was a gallon size container that you waved around -t he amount of bubbles was amazing1  Kids would go crazy.  So many bubbles it could clean off the deck if it rained!😅

kittyfan, I also agree with walker, missing your Cafe stories and TS escapades.  Love all the characters you have met.  Stay cool.

I will be tearing up old documents, letters and junk mail today. I got one large bag done yesterday and will do another today. I really miss my shredder which is in storage and not easily obtainable.😒  Just as well, I have no space to place it.  I had two large Rubbermaid containers full in two boxes under the bed (storage issues again).

cookie, too bad you can't get a hold of your shredder ... but have fun ripping away today! I know how that junk mail can pile up ... that bubble maker sounds like it would be a lot of fun ...

We had a rather cool Fall day yesterday but now we are in a sunny and warm streak that will last until Tuesday with no  rain ...

Happy Thursday!  Sun is shining already and it should be a comfortable day...👍.  Just saw weather and it is 57 right now...going to 78...perfect!  Then it heats up again...warm Labor Day Weekend.....wow, how did that get here so fast?

cookie, good for you to get that shredding of unnecessary items done!  I would miss having a shredder too for that job.  It sure feels good to clear things out though.

DH's BEEsiness has closed...thank heavens!  Hope I don't jinx myself to say we have not had any bees for a few days..🤞🤞🤞

DS called last night and his area (central) of FL was ok...some wind and rain but they have seen much worse.  There were more problems in north FL.  Communications and warnings are so much better to prepare people.  The Governor's mansion had a big tree come down near house....just saw on news.

Big Bubble Machine would be great fun at your house, Tootie.  Big bubbles, little bubbles.....always fun....and you gals are sharp...read my X....you never know what my crazy mind will come up with here.

Bubbles and Babbling....haha....better go....meeting DD for lunch...looking forward to that good salad.  DH thinks I am just going out for pedicure.  DD and I have to start making plans for DH's birthday in December.  That will be a busy month so I really need to be organized.

Oh what fun a giant bubble machine. Yes a chore to clean up but oodles of fun.

Well I guess I need to let everyone know of my big move. My friends decided I needed to move to a retirement community. Kicking and screaming I was opposed. First facility was nice but didn't check all the boxes. Second facility was a hit. I have a patio and they let me put up a fence for tge dogs. The courtyard is contained so the dogs can't get out. We did have some incidents. My very BFF did all the heart lifting. All I has to do was pay the CC. When I arrived it was complete down to boxes of kleenex!!! I had approved everything and he even did tge fence for me. He and I were together so intense people asked if he was my son. I had to laugh. I could not have done it without his help. We have been friends for more than 40 years. We would go for long periods of no contact and then just pick up where we left off. He calls me his big sister!! I tell him he is my little brother! I know his wife and son.

So now it will be tsles from "shady oaks" boy there are some real characters here.

Last night at dinner tge server came out to announce there was no ice cream! But there were cookies. He went back into the kitchen to find about three people remaining. He laughed and asked what happened. When the no ice cream was announced it was a mass exodus. My BFF had stocked my fridge so I had ice cream. I just thought it was funny. Some folks are so entitled. I am still learning tge ropes. Breakfast I may or my not get what I ordered! I don't complain. Just admire them for dealing with crabby folks! I try to always saybplease and thank you. The server knows I want tea with my meal without asking. The servers have to be incredibly patient.

I will share more on some of the characters I need to think up catchy names!

As I type this I am looking out at tge courtyard. Grass is yellow and planter boxes are dead but lots of big trees. This is an older facility so one story. A plus. Lots of dogs here. Mobile Vets came to update. They were super. So convenient. Laundry up the hall. I just put my laundry in and sit to wait. Housekeeping changes the sheets. I do laundry but that is a chore!

I didn't go to BF. Was making coffee when housekeeping arrived. I said I would sit our with tge dogs. Holly had gone back to bed and wasn't happy. I finally had to leash her to get her outside. Right know K
Jake is in his bed covered up with his blanket. Holly on bed covered with her blanket. Jake has short legs and can't jump on bed. So I never know where I will find his blanket!! With or without him. We are still settling into our routine.

I do miss the TS and Cafe but life changed for me. Starting a new journey here.

Hi kittyfan, I can't wait to hear the names of the characters that you encounter at your new place "Shady Oaks" (I laughed at that ...) I know this was probably hard for you ... but congratulations on your move! you put up a fight but at the end you ended up in what sounds like a very nice place ... especially nice that you could bring Jake and Holly with you!! ... and you've got a charm of a "little brother" ... a good friend that you can rely on ... I'll be thinking of you as you start this new journey (and waiting for the next chapter in your book 😉)

Oh my gosh, kittyfan, congratulations and best wishes to you on your new adventure!  How wonderful that it includes Jake and Holly too....perfect!  I know as time goes on you are going to be so happy you made that move!  Can't wait to meet the new "characters" and hear stories from Shady Oaks...😂.  Your little brother is the BEST!  You mentioned working on a project with him...guess this was it, eh?  How are dogs adjusting?  Do you still have car to use if you want?

On another note, saw a car today with tinted windows and thought of you, cookie.  How do you like yours?

Yes this was the project. He did it all. I just walked in to a lovely setting. I didn't bring furniture with me. New beginnings.

I had planned to get my hand and knee repaired while the TS was being remodeled. Well my plan didn't happen. So I stepped down from TS. Do miss it and the Cafe but I am in the city now. I resisted this move but in tge end I knew it was for the best. Living alone without a safety net wasn't the best option. I have met some absolutely lovely people here. Still finding my way around. Before I officially moved in the facility hosted us for domino's. Fed us and treated us very well. I am among the younger set but most of the ladies are widows. A few couples. On Saturday my friend came to visit. She didn't close rhe door completely. We were on the patio when someone comes tonthe door with Holly on leash. Apparently sjevhas galvanizing down the halls. This morning when housekeeping came I had to leash her to get her out if bed!! Silly girl. She had been out first thing but did not want to get up.
