The 1 ingredient that stops you from reading the rest of the recipe?

Even before I became vegetarian, then vegan, eggs always made me drop out immediately.  lol

Always hated them.  Wouldn't eat cakes, cookies, brownies, etc., if they had them in them.  Even though I couldn't taste them....they were in there!

It's so much easier now since allergy info is listed on products at the end of the ingredients list.  I don't have to squint and look for that four letter word hiding in the middle.

Of course, for everyone else in my family, I'll read through recipes.

It's *egg* for me, what's your's?

@Lucky Charm

Coconut - I can't stand the smell, texture, or taste of it.  If my DH has some I don't even want him breathing next to me.

Cream of Tarter.   Do not see it often in recipes but when I do I stop reading and move on.  Just cannot see buying something for only one dish over a long period of time.  I live alone and the holidays are too far away for big baking to justify putting in my cabinet for the next time.

For me, I am not a fan of celery and usually just drop it from the recipe unless it is clearly needed and then I grab what I need from the grocery salad bar.  What usually stops me is an expensive spice I don't have although there is a lovely grocery chain that has expanded into our area (shout out to Fresh Thyme Market) where you can buy exactly how much you need in a large variety of spices).

I have to watch for recipes with Coconut or Nuts as husband is allergic to them!

Veal for me, I refuse to eat it!

Oh yes @CareBears veal and lamb for me too which I admit is hypocritical as I do eat meat (although I try to eat as little as possible and buy as much humanely raised/processed as I can) but those two are completely off my list.
