@Sooner

Thank you for the idea! I have a can of sweetened condensed milk and other ingredients which I bought to make chocolate frosting but never did 🤷‍♀️

So now I know what I'm gonna make with the ingredients I have on hand --

and thank you to the poster who posted the Eagle Brand chocolate cake recipe🙂🙂

Re: Texas Sheet Cake! Do you have THE best recipe?

@Sooner  Thanks for this thread. I have never even heard of a Texas sheet cake.Woman Wink. Now I have to try this out.

@maximillian  Oh my, the white Texas sheet cake sounds delish and something different from chocolate. I love desserts with orange or lemon. I might make it for a BBQ this weekend. And thank you @aroc3435  for asking @maximillian  to post it.Heart

How did I live this long and never heard of this?? LOL

@Queen of shop

A BBQ this weekend?  That sounds like so much fun.  Please post back here if you make the cake and the atendees like it and tell us what their comments were.  That's one of the best parts of sharing recipes.

Re: Texas Sheet Cake! Do you have THE best recipe?

Hi@maximillian Woman Happy Yes, a Memorial Day BBQ. Small group. Only 10 of us, all relatives and all double vaxed. This is the first time we will be together in a very long time. So excited.

I will certainly report back how the cake went. I guess growing up east coast is why I never heard of this awesome goodie. Thank you again.

The ice cream is in the pint size.  I did not want to buy a full size without tasting first on whether I liked it or not.  Of course I did and now the pint is almost empty, so I will need to make a tough decision.............

@maximillian

Thanks for sharing the white recipe.

I have a white recipe that calls for shortening and buttermilk...no sour cream.

I have been hesitant to try it because of the shortening...not a fan.

I copied yours to try real soon.

Thanks again.

@maximillion Thanks for this recipe.  Think I'll try substituting almond extract for the orange/lemon.  Almond is one of my husband's favorite flavors.
