Surprise! Yummy Brussels Sprouts!

[ Edited ]

I hadn't had Brussels sprouts in a while.  I had run across a recipe that looked yummy in the pic and saved it.  I tried it tonight using FROZEN Brussels sprouts by Steamed Fresh.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

400 degree oven, preheated

30-45 min.

Brussel Sprouts

Olive oil

aluminum foil

salt, pepper

bake sheet

Toss Brussels sprouts in olive oil.

Transfer to foil on a bake sheet.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Stir half way through.

Yummy!!!

This is DH's favorite....except I had chopped Canadian bacon before I put it in the oven...the bits get crispy and we love it.

I have roasted all my veggies this way for years.  If you have a air fryer, they are even better!

Not really a recipe. It's the way I cook almost all vegetables.

This recipe for roasted Brussels sprouts is my favorite.  It adds a bit of lemon juice and fresh Parmesan.  Really good.

Love love Brussels Sprouts!! Unfortunately since I learned about FODMAPS - high and low vegetables that are gut wrenchers (for me) I have to stay clear of the vegetables on the High FODMAP list. Anyway, your recipe sounds delish. I did the same, but used Sweet potatoes, Russet potatoes, Snow peas, carrots, sweet onion and zucchini.  So good. IMG_6366.jpg

Roast them until the outer leaves are browned.

@tansyI looked at that.  My Brussels sprouts looked like that but with less carbon which is a carcinogen for cancer.  The Parm would be great.  Smiley Happy

Uh oh, I scarf up all the burnt bits!  The Parmesan works well on roasted cauliflower, too 🙂
