I (really DH!)have been using the grill whenever possible because of this heat & humidity. We've made burgers, brats, chicken & fish. DH fishes on Lake Michigan & we have a good supply of coho salmon. I sprinkle the filets with lemon pepper & cover with thin sliced onions & tiny pats of butter. Wrap in foil, cook maybe 10 minutes, depending on how thin the fish is. Use crockpot for sausages in sauce & peppers to eat on bomber buns.

Side dishes are usually coleslaw, potato salad, varieties of pasta salad, sliced cucumbers & tomatoes from our garden.  Berries & watermelon & other chopped summer fruits in fruit salads.

Looking forward to cooler weather, my favorite cooking time!

Making the most of the end-of-summer enjoying grilled teriyaki chicken halves, coleslaw, and corn on the cob.

We grill several times a week all year between pot roasts, meatloaf, chili, and similar meals.

One thing we really enjoy is sauteed peppers and onions or grilled squash or asparagus on a little pasta with pesto.
