Mild summer squash can also be eaten raw.  Slice or grate and mix in salads is always good.  Think zucchini.

Apparently i didnt know patty pan squash came this size. Ive only seen the walnut-size in a few banquet hall event dinners! Lol

Saute in butter with chopped onion. Season to taste. @house_cat

Okay, I give up, what region are you in?

I love squash, and ever since I saw this thread, I have made a point of looking for it in every produce dept I've been in.  Nothing, nada, zip.

Maybe they grow in some other region?  This is obviously the season for them, so I'm wondering if I'm looking for something that isn't common here.

I gave two to my son and he stuffed them with some kind of rice and veggie mixture, then baked them.  They said they were good.

I cut mine up and sauteed it with onion like a couple of you suggested. It was very sweet and mild -  much like the summer squash I"ve always enjoyed.

I think I would cut my squash up to fry size pieces so good, a little buttermilk and then dust them with self rising flour and fry it up salt pepper.🎃
