Strawberry Brushetta


Photo: Here is a fun summertime recipe! Strawberry Brushetta Take your stone out!! (if you don't have one- Now is a great time to start your collection!) Take a load of French bread and slice at an angle. Place bread slices on stone. Melt a half stick of butter in a prep bowl. Brush one side of each slice of bread with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Place in preheated 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes to toast bread. Meanwhile use the manual food processor to pulse up about two cups of cleaned and quartered fresh strawberries. Place in a bowl. In a small batter bowl put one brick of softened cream cheese, 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and the zest from one lemon. Squeeze one half of lemon into the mixture and mix well. Put into a serving bowl. Remove toast from oven and arrange on a platter and serve with cream cheese spread and strawberry Brushetta. Enjoy! Need a stone for your collection?
