Alberti Popaj posted a great Fall Beef Stew recipe. This is one of my families favorite seasonal meals!

I'd love to see other's spins on this classic dish!

Re: Stew for You (and me!)

[ Edited ]

During Covid lockdown I had ordered Ristelli filet mignon...wasn't as happy with them as I was KC filets...flavor different to me, and a bit chewy for filets. But I put them several times into a beef stew that came delicious! I'm afraid to put the link to the page, as I'm not sure that's allowed, for whatever reason here...but I just Googled and it was one that came up first called "Best Ever Beef Stew" on "DamnDelicious.com"

Pretty much same as my mom's recipe...notes: I added canned mushrooms instead of fresh, dried thyme not fresh and added peas (to replicate mom's and she always used peas.) Delicious beef stew! It's become my go-to. ps. If you don't have beef stock...veggie or cx stock works just as well.

@HikingMom  That's a heck of a lot of celery!

If you have a pressure cooker, my husband and I think this is the best beef stew we've ever had.  Make the changes to the original recipe suggested at the bottom of the page, and it is amazing.

@Ainhisg I do have the Instant Pot pressure cooker.  Pleased to have a new beef stew recipe.  Love the idea of adding the frozen peas at the end.

Thank you for posting.  I could probably turn leftovers into a nice pot pie.

Front suppose to move in Fri plus they are saying snow Mon. LOL!!! I doubt that will happen.

Anyways it's going to be cold so I'm going to make some beef stew this weekend.

I have been making it in the pressure cooker. I used to make it slow cooking on the stove all day.

I brown some onions remove from PC, brown the meat in PC, add carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, tomato paste, bay leaf, thyme, red wine, broth. Yum!!!
