One of my very fave soups--haven't made it forever. May have to buy some hamhocks soon!!

@LIndaMJ  I put the carrots in separate later in the cooking process because mushy carrots are yum. And I soak the peas overnight. Always glad to have extras in the freezer since I only make it once annually.
