Hi Citrine. Just seems like November to February is a long time in just fridge.  I usually buy them the week I am making. I guess being vacuumed packed makes a big difference.

@Susic   Yes that cryovac packaging is what helps keep it fresh longer. 

 

For home I use the Fresh Saver unit that vacuum packs and it is wonderful.  Bought it here on QVC many years ago.
