This is an oldie but goodie! So simple to put together and nice to have the vegetables fresh from the garden. I make my own salad seasoning.

Spaghetti Salad

1 pound spaghetti

½ of a 16 oz. bottle of Wishbone Robusto Italian dressing (or more if needed)

1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

1-2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

a few drops of Frank’s hot sauce (optional)

½ of a bottle of McCormick’s Salad Supreme Seasoning (or make your own)

chopped veggies of your choice- I like cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, mild onions (like Vidalia, green onions or a red onion)

optional- green olives, ham, pepperoni, cheese

Prepare spaghetti to al dente, drain, then run cold water over and drain again. To a large bowl, add the spaghetti, Italian dressing, lemon juice, olive oil, hot sauce, salad supreme seasoning and chopped veggies. Chill overnight or for a several hours. Stir and add more dressing if needed.

I looked at the ingredients on the bottle of McCormick’s Salad Supreme and I decided to make my own.
Here are the ingredients in order ~ so I add more of those at the top of the ingredients list and less at the bottom...except for the salt.. I use less of that. I just add and taste until I think it tastes good.

home made salad supreme seasoning

romano cheese –freshly grated or parmesan
salt
sesame seed
poppy seed
paprika
celery seed
garlic – I use powder
black pepper
silicon dioxide (I leave that one out )
red pepper (Penzeys sells the dried) optional
