@wagirl  That's such a cute story and I also love Underwood deviled ham or Underwood chicken spread on crackers! Cottage cheese with peaches is delicious- have you ever tried cottage cheese with pineapple too? So good! Smiley Happy

@wagirl  Ooh I've never tried cottage cheese with pears- that sounds absolutely delicious and fancy! Not only do I love fruit cocktail, but I love making ambrosia fruit salad- easily one of my favorite desserts and I make it extra retro with flaked coconut, yoghurt, diced pineapple, walnuts, other fruits and halved maraschino cherries! Smiley Very HappyHeart Haha you should eat the cottage cheese really slowly in front of your family- QVC style as if you were a presenter and even mess around with your fork or spoon to show the texture Smiley Very Happy! Your family is missing out- cottage cheese and fruit is so delicious and nutricious!

I forgot- I also put mini marshamllows in my Ambrosia! Smiley Very Happy

@wagirl  Ambrosia is definitely for people with a major sweet tooth- I also put mini marshmallows in my ambrosia, so I would definitely eat your sister in law's left overs Smiley Happy.  I sometimes make my Ambrosia with greek yoghurt for extra protein so its a little healthier- but lets be real, if I'm eating my homemade Ambrosia, I'm not counting calories that day Smiley LOL

     I always laugh during QVC Gourmet Holiday shows- the presenters keep ripping apart or smashing the food, they scrape forks seductively across the meat, the women eat teeny tiny little bites of the cheesecakes and I yell at my tv, "Take a bigger one! Do it! Eat the Junior's cheesecake!" And I always laugh during the nonstick pan presentations when they slide the food into an unapetizing landslide of a pile on a plate!  I love the real time bloopers- there was a pizza cooker TSV a while back and David Vendable took out a pizza that was black and burnt to a crisp since they forgot it was in the oven and he had to spin it into the idea of the cooker creating the perfect "artisinal burnt crust" Smiley LOL- I love that man, he can save any situation and sell anything!

Growing up it was Ambrosia Salad for special occasions, mom would color it light green for Christmas and light pink for Easter.

@Alsace Gal   Ambrosia is such a delicious and colorful fruit salad! That's so sweet and festive that your mom dyed the Ambrosia salad for different holidays Smiley Happy.  All of this talk I started about Ambrosia made me hungry so I made a big batch of it today! So delicious and even better the next day or two when all of the flavors really come together Smiley Happy.

@wagirl

I mix cottage cheese with sweetner and cinnamon. Then I heat it up, just a bit, and it tastes, well sort of, like cheese cake with a lot less calories.

So, cottage cheese with fruit is delicious. I also eat that.
