Oh thanks so much @Noel7, both of those look very good.  I've saved them for future use as I am always expanding my stuffing horizons (which right now consist of Trader Joe's Cornbread Stuffing) . . . baby steps I guess eh? . . .

I will look at the recipes in a bit.

My mom used Pepperidge Farm seasoned stuffing. This is the flavor I associate with turkey at Thanksgiving.

Dont be afraid. Southern dressing has eggs. They are  a binder and do not  get scrambled. You add broth and eggs and it's like making a cake. Delicious.

I always use milk and eggs in my stuffing..never any of that boxed chicken broth.  It turns out delicious and everyone asks for my recipe ( my mother’s actually)

I'd leave out the green bell pepper, but that's just me

Tee hee @Noel7 thank goodness your friend Betty is so helpful as I have saved this recipe too.  For Thanksgiving I bought a small, two pound 1/2 turkey breast and thanks to the Gods of Cooking a website sent me the perfect recipe for cooking it along with stuffing and roasting veggies . . . I am so ready for tomorrow.
