Gives so much taste to chicken & beef dishes!
Just made this today: Sausage & Pierogi Soup
6 Poultry sausages - remove casings & break into pieces
1 Vidalia onion - chopped
3 stalks celery - chopped
1 - 1 1/4 cup dry Sherry
1 - 1 1/4 cup water
1 can Del Monte Italilan Style Stewed Tomatoes
Seasonings: 4 beef boullion cubes, Allspice, dried sweet basil, Apple Pie Spice, bay leaves, black pepper, red pepper flakes to taste
Brown poultry sausages in EVOO in large dutch oven, set aside.
Sautee onions & celery in EVOO. (I always add a pinch of sugar to rid onion aftertaste.) Add seasonings. Return sausages to the pot. Add water, sherry & tomatoes. Add box of Mrs. T's Pierogies (4 cheese or other).
Heat through (about 15 minutes) or until Pierogies are soft & cooked.
