Earlier today, I put some Italian (sweet and hot) sausages in the slow cooker with sliced onions, sliced peppers and a jar of pasta sauce (with mushrooms).

It's been about 2 hours - 4 more to go.  

The smell is delicious!

@ALRATIBA My family prefers when I make sausage that way.  I put mine on for 10 hours on low.  Always delish!  Enjoy your dinner!

I'm making sweet italian sausages with peppers & onions.  Sauce on the side.  Using Valerie Bertinelli's recipe.

I like to brown slices of Kielbasa sausage with sliced onions and peppers in a skillet, then simmer about 30 min with a BIG can of hominy.   Makes a super quick, easy, tasty meal.

@Kachina624  Interesting!  I've never had hominy or noticed it in the stores up here.  I'll have to look for it and try your recipe.
