I recently made this for a summer luncheon and wish I had some today! The recipe is from Taste of Home magazine.

Topsy Turvy Sangria

750 ml Merlot

1 cup sugar

1 cup orange liqueur ( I used 1/2 citronage and 1/2 cup triple sec)

1/2 -1 cup brandy (I used 1 cup)

3 cups chilled lemon - lime soda, chilled

1 cup sliced strawberries

1 medium orange, sliced

1 medium peach, sliced

In a pitcher, stir the wine, sugar, orange liqueur and brandy until sugar is dissolved. Stir in soda and fruit and serve over ice.

Makes 10, 3/4 cup servings

I did muddle the fruit slightly and poured a little of the wine mixture over it, then added the soda.
