This is one from a favorite restaurant of ours in Laguna Beach, CA.

Cottage California Melt

2 slice sourdough bread
2 slices great quality sharp cheddar cheese
1 slice ripe red tomato
1-2 slices baked ham
2 slices bacon, cooked well
avocado slice

On one slice of sourdough bread, layer a slice of cheddar, the tomato, ham, bacon, avocado, and the second slice of cheddar. Top with second slice of sourdough bread.
Grill until sourdough is crusty and light gold, cheese is soft on both sides, and this creation begs to be consumed.
