How about coconut oil or grapeseed oil?

I always cut down on the fat in brownie mixes. The tend to be overly greasy otherwise. Doesn't see to affect the flavor or texture.

Applesauce. I use it in place of oil for less calories and more moistness.

I only use olive oil. My cakes, brownies etc come out great.

Thanks to all that responded. I ended up using mayo and softened butter. Actually more mayo than buttter, but 2/3 cup total. It called for 2/3 cup of veg oil. They turned out great or so I was told. I don't eat sweets, but DH and my sister each had one a big one and said YUM.

I would use butter. California Ranch does make an olive oil specifically for baking. I like to use Safflower oil.
If you have some applesauce try half that half butter.

I would use the mayo for a substitute. Not olive oil for sure.
