?? SCALLOPED TOMATOES ??

I am not sure if this name is correct. Many, and I do mean many,

years ago in high school in Whitehall, OH we had a tomato dish

at lunch. I know it had butter and bread in it and wasn't tart

tasting. It may have been baked as it had somewhat of a glaze

on top. With tomato season coming soon I would really like to

be able to make it. Recipes anyone? TIA
