I have made this for a party with the additional eggs suggested by the reviewer, and liked it quite a lot; but then, we love garlic.

Russian Cheese Salad

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 Tablespoons mayonnaise

3 cloves garlic, pressed

In a medium bowl, stir together the mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise and garlic. Chill until serving.

Yield: 8 servings

Reviewer’s note: "My husband is from Russia and cheese salad is one of his favorites (and it is usually a favorite with Americans at parties with both groups). We make it with chopped hard boiled eggs - equal to the amount of cheese used - and usually garnish with chopped green onions. Some of our Russian friends make it with sharper cheeses, but we like the mild shredded mozzarella as a good balance with the garlic. I like the idea of serving this on tomato slices! We usually serve with slices of french or mini bread."
