Re: Russets Anyone?

[ Edited ]

Use them in soups like vegetable and potato soup; potato salad; slice them for scalloped potatoes; cut them in thirds, pre-cook them, slice them and make fried potatoes and browned sliced kielbasa or sausage; potato skins; baked potatoes; twice-baked potatoes. In the summer, slice them into foil packets and add butter, seasonings and a tablespoon of water, wrap tight and grill for 35 or 40 minutes. Yum! There are a lot of things to do with potatoes! I always keep a bag in the refrigerator.

Mashed Potatoes

Oven Roasted Potatoes with Onion Soup Mix

Potato Soup with onion and milk

Potato Corn Soup (with or without ham or bacon)

I'm going to make a ham and veggie soup tonight with my leftovers from Easter, and I'm going to use the second half of the second five pound bag of russets in the soup.
